Chub rub

You can get anti chafing creams or rubs from the likes of Amazon, but I swear by the chub rub shorts. I got mine from Snag Tights, but there are various places which do them, including the Big Bloomers Company. They're like short cycle shorts but in a more tights-like material, if that makes sense. They come in a range of colours and you can wear them under the sheerest of dresses without them showing.

I find skin tight shorts type undies are rather hot, so on the nowadays very rare occasion that I wear a dress, I use a flimsy culotte waist slip similar to this.

Good old sudocrem or a chapstick. Chub rub doesn’t just affect larger thighs. When I was still able to run I used to keep a chapstick in the pocket of my running tights, many runners do.

Any type of talc would be ok, baby talc if you can get it is best.

If it gets really sore apply Sudacreme.

Talc is not good for you and if used near/on the vulval area is particularly poor as it increases the risk of ovarian cancer. This is why talc is harder to find and "baby powder" barely exists.

Cornstarch is a much better option and works the same way - it feels like talc but is safer. You will see that some cosmetics companies have gone over entirely to cornstarch or cornflour - eg:

I used to suffer terribly from underboob rub in the hot weather. One year a mammographer told me not to use talc, she said its particles were abrasive, and to use a cream instead.

I opted for the Bodyshop's Almond Milk and Honey range, the lotion and/or the body butter, and it cleared up totally.

I don't have chub rub, I nearly always wear trousers, so it doesn't happen, but I would think the effect could be the same.

I can't bear the nylon chub rub pants, so buy ladies longline knickers from Ebay (£5.99) in pure breathable cotton. Like your granny used to wear!

I like Shysal's culottes but my own solution is to wear an old pair of tights with most of the legs cut off. Worked for me in hot humid climates like India.
I mostly wear loose cotton trousers in warm weather but the old tights are when I want to wear a dress

When we lived in Hong Kong, someone told me that deodorant stick rubbed on both surfaces was a good way to avoid the rub! It has always worked for me

There is plenty of baby talc available in the supermarkets near me and no health warnings nearby. Also, I wasn't assuming that it was OP 's vulva that was chafing.............especially when others have suggested long line and below knee length pants but point taken.

I do agree and having chubby thighs always use baby powder.
It is also good under the breast area before putting on a bra.

The latest baby powder I bought was from Tesco, they seemed to have plenty available.

I use Cuticura medicated talc, under boobs and for chub rub, works well. I've got it on repeat order from A****n.

Definitely just stay in (cotton) trousers or crops!

I use Snake Brand prickly heat powder for under breast drying after a bath. It was recommended to me when I visited a pharmacy in Cambodia or Thailand, I can't remember which. Within a minute of applying it you feel as though a cool breeze is passing over the area. So refreshing. I highly recommend it.
