Not sure what made me think of the cat's cradle, perhaps because I was sitting with a ball of wool trying to imagine what I could create.
I remember we often used to play cat's cradle, sometimes on our own but often with a friend.
I think it was mainly girls who did it. A long time ago and my fingers have now forgotten how to do it. Some of the very simple patterns I recall but others I just can't 'finger' out.
Did you used to play cat's cradle and do children still do it? It's probably a very good brain-hand exercise.
