Morning Mick and all who follow, wet here in Bristol this morning up early for the school run .
Hope everyone has had a restful night.
Not much to do today after my school run, maybe a little house work.

Beechnut Wed 09-Oct-19 06:55:30

Good Morning everyone
Same weather as you here vena11.

A home day for me whatever I get up to. My friend came for a visit yesterday. She has recently had an operation and a walk to my house is fresh air and not too tiring a walk for her.

I hope you all have a good day ?

Morning mick, venall, everyone.

Its dry but cold in North Leicestershire. I have had a dreadful sleep the past two nights. We bought a feather and down topper for the bed and I am too hot and uncomfortable so sleeping really badly. Dh, on the other hand, is sleeping really well - which makes it worse.

Alzheimer's Carers course this afternoon.

Morning Mick, morning All from a wet and windy corner of Somerset. Will need an ark soon. Theatre matinee today, plans for a walk first could well be rained off. I foresee a very damp theatre audience. Hope Wednesday is kind to everyone.

Good morning Mick and everyone. The sky here (Spain) is a shade of apricot and another very hot day is forecast. An owl kept me awake, so I was glad to see the dawn.

No work today, so just pottering, reading and some painting later. Enjoy your day whatever you may be doing.

NannyJan53 Wed 09-Oct-19 07:24:35

Good Morning from a dull and cloudy Black Country.

Lots of rain yesterday, but weather forecast is for more sun today. I am off on a coach trip this morning with U3A to Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch, then onto Evesham Country Park.

Had the flu jab yesterday, and surprisingly my arm isn't even sore this morning!

Wishing everyone a good day.

Marydoll Wed 09-Oct-19 07:28:16

Good morning Mick and all the early risers from a dark, wet Glasgow.
Sorry to rub it in Kitty, but for the first time in about a month, I slept nearly all night,

After my visit to get my bloods done yesterday, I have been confined to barracks!
The nurse took one look at me and put me on the triage list, (after a telling off about not looking after myself!!! blush )
I am now on steroids for that dreadful cough, but the doctor said it looks as if my angiogram on Friday will be cancelled, unless I make a miraculous recovery. sad It is far too risky.
To say I'm disappointed, is an understatement. This will be the third one which will have been canceledd, due to my health issues.
However, there are two more days until Friday and I shall remain upbeat, for once do as I'm told and pray for a miracle.

On a lighter note, I have a great excuse for doing nothing and staying in during this dreadful weather.

Have a good day whatever your plans.

Good morning from Shropshire.Wet here too.
I had a bad night as well,I think all the stress of the last few months has caught up with me.
Not sure what today will bring.Possibly going to see our daughter and family but depends on what sort of night they have had with the baby.
Hoping all who have been unwell are on the mend and gilly hope you are feeling better?
Have a good day everyone.

dragonfly46 Wed 09-Oct-19 07:35:26

Good morning from soggy Leicestershire.

So sorry to hear you are still strugglingMary I hope you make a miraculous recovery before Friday.

Hospital appointment this morning with oncologist I suspect he is going to recommend chemo - not really what I want but hey ho.
Supposed to be walking with friends this afternoon but may be coffee instead if it is still raining.

Sar53 Wed 09-Oct-19 07:39:39

Good morning everyone from a dry but grey Essex by the sea. I had a bad night due to feeling so unwell. I had to cancel a hospital appointment yesterday but have a blood test this morning. Need tò pop to the supermarket at some point. I hope all who are unwell have a better day today. Kind thoughts to everyone.

Grammaretto Wed 09-Oct-19 07:39:46

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It's dry so far but windy. I may get the washing dry. Craft group and badminton later. That should keep me out of mischief.

A rest will do you good Marydoll
though I'm not entirely sure you know what a rest is. wink

Hoping everyone's day goes well.

NanKate Wed 09-Oct-19 07:41:37

Morning Mick and All.

Poor you Mary you seem to take one foot forward and then one back. Glad though they are trying to sort your cough out.

Kitty your DH has two choices - keep YOU or the duvet. I could offer you a pleasant room overlooking the Thames in the far distance whilst he decides ?

You do seem to go on some interesting trips NannyJ.

Off to buy up Waitrose food department in readiness for my sister’s arrival tomorrow. She does like her food and on time too ?

NanKate Wed 09-Oct-19 07:43:29

Best of luck Dragonfly ?

Lins1066 Wed 09-Oct-19 07:52:55

Good Morning from a very wet S Welsh coast.
Hope you feel better soon Marydoll
Good luck with your appointment dragonfly, as you say not what you want but if it's for the best then so be it. A gentle hug to you and enjoy your coffee.
Also gilly, a hug for you and all those feeling poorly ??
Will watch the rugby on tv this morning.

gillybob Wed 09-Oct-19 08:02:25

It’s a grey start here in the NE coast although the forecast says it may brighten up later, lets hope my mood follows .

Usual breakfasts and school runs today followed by the Wednesday visit to my least favourite place in earth, yes you guessed it “that place” . Then more school runs, footy training for DGS etc.

I REALLY hope the part for my washing machine arrives today (I paid for next day so it should) and I REALLY hope it’s the right part too.

I am so sorry to hear that your cough has held back your angiogram Marydoll how bloomin’ annoying . It’s over 3 weeks for me and I shows little sign of getting better.

I hope your visit to the oncologist goes okay dragonfly , wishing you the very best of luck.

Thank you for your hug Lins smile

Have a good Wednesday everyone x

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It is dry in South Yorkshire at the moment but not expected to last. We have an appointment with a solicitor this morning to review our wills and look at a couple of other things, then not much to do for the rest of the day. Some baking might be on the agenda. Good luck with your appointment today, Dragonfly. Have a good day all.

EllanVannin Wed 09-Oct-19 08:12:03

Good Morning All x
Dry overnight and looks like a repeat of yesterday with some brightness and a breeze as I got a few towels dry outside.

D calling in today so we'll be going to her half-sister's to wish her a happy ( 70th ) birthday. My family are catching up with me. Pensioner children, it doesn't seem possible as my own two are reaching 60 as well ! SiL will be starting it off as he's 60 next month.

This must be a month for shonkey blood/medical results as my INR was out of range last week so have another test next week. I don't like it when that happens as it leaves a risk of bleeding so worries me slightly and warfarin is then adjusted.

However I hope everyone else gets sorted with their problems and you go on to enjoy the day.

Nannytopsy Wed 09-Oct-19 08:17:24

Good morning Mick and everyone who follows. Dry and grey in Suffolk. I am off to grandparents tea this afternoon with DGS’s other Granny which should be entertaining! DH has had a cold for a couple of days and is now wheezing and coughing nicely.
Best wishes to Marydoll, Ginny and Dragonfly plus anyone else who is poorly.

gillybob Wed 09-Oct-19 08:17:31

My late grandma said the first time she felt really old was when her granddaughter (me) became a grandma. How on earth did that happen? smile

aggie Wed 09-Oct-19 08:20:57

Morning all , not actually raining here but it is near !
I am another who actually slept last night . But I can emphasise with those who tossed and turned
Waiting for a plumber and an electrician to sort a problem with the underfloor heating , not that I need the bedroom warm at night , but some of my paperwork happens there and blue fingers are not helpful
Will say a prayer for the swift cure of your cough Marydoll and a few for all the poorly people xxx

Nortsat46 Wed 09-Oct-19 08:24:13

Good morning all.
Marydoll so sorry to hear about your angiogram. You should get a boost from the steroids, which is always welcome after the exhaustion of coughing and struggling to breathe.

Dragonfly sending you positive thoughts for today.

Hope today is kind to us all. ??

I have a medical appointment which I am feeling some trepidation about and am definitely not looking forward to.

BlueSapphire Wed 09-Oct-19 08:25:09

Good morning - well I hope it is for me because just as I was going to bed last night I discovered a leak in the downstairs cloakroom. Have no idea where it's coming from but the carpet around the toilet is soaking. I have put old towels down and phoned the plumbing insurance company who will call me back this morning. They wanted me to turn the water off but I couldn't turn the stopcock. However it doesn't seem any worse this morning, and turning the water off would leave me with no heating or hot water, which is not ideal in this weather. The lady I spoke to on the phone said not to cancel my hair appointment this morning, but take my mobile to await a call before 10am. We shall see...

Anyway, it's quite a bright day here in Northampton; was hoping to do a Health Walk today but will await further developments. And was hoping to get to the station to sort out the train ticket for the funeral I am going to next week, which is the other side of Gloucester.

A good day out in Milton Keynes yesterday with a nice lunch (and red wine!) in Ask. Managed after 3 separate visits to the changing rooms in M&S to find a nice pair of black trousers. So many different styles, lengths, fabrics. Thought I had found the perfect pair straightaway, then discovered they were dark navy instead of black - of course they didn't have those in black! So eventually found a pair that were slightly different style and different fabric and the right length. Got them for half price though as I had a voucher.

Just had the phone call from the insurance company - they will be sending a plumber this morning, so will have to cancel my hair appointment!

Hope everyone who is poorly feels better soon and has a good day.

Pantglas2 Wed 09-Oct-19 08:33:16

Lovely morning here in north Wales and it needs to stay that way as I’m trotting out see an aunt whose birthday is next week while I’m away. Will pop in to see my dad and scrounge some apples - more of a swap really as my DH has sorted huge sack of firewood for his aga!

Hope everyone has a great day x

Brunette10 Wed 09-Oct-19 08:39:57

Good Morning from a wet Fife, the rain last evening was awful and it doesn't look much better for today. There's seems to be quite a few not feeling great today, sorry to hear that, however if you follow medical instructions hopefully you will begin to feel better. Good luck Dragonfly try and not worry too much. Marydoll just do as you are advised and hopefully your angiogram will get done very soon. Meeting cousin today for coffee/catchup she is one of the daughters of my aunt who died recently so it may be a tearful morning. Hope you all have as a good a day as you can .
