Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but its dry outside at the moment here in Brackley this morning.
Laundry this morning, then small shop, followed by a bus to Banbury for a little while.
Then cycling on Eurosport.

Good morning Mick and everyone. Nice morning here on Anglesey.

Sorry to hear of your problems Marydoll and Dragonfly. Hope they are resolved as well as can be expected!

Decided not to make myself available for work today, as I have had a horrible cold for the last 3 days when I did my "other" job. Got through it somehow.

Worried for my daughter this morning. She's left her husband of one year and is living with friends while everything is sorted out. She's meeting him today to discuss what they're going to do, but she's told me that she wants to start again and will move in with a friend with work. I'm worried about how he will react. He recently self-harmed when she suggested she needed "some space". I've told her to take a friend with her and definitely her phone.

I'm still trying to understand it all and I always got on well with him, but I didn't live with him obviously. Just hope everything can be sorted out amicably!

Take care everyone. Am currently watching a spider climbing up and down his web! Will put him in the garden later.

Pantglas2 - where are you in North Wales? I know there's a village called Pantglas where Bryn Terfel came from!

Enjoy yourselves everyone!xxxxxxxx

Good morning everyone from sunny South Manchester. It’s a lovely mild start here. I have a dental appointment in an hour, nothing all day (nice) then we are over to visit friends this evening. Their eldest son gets married in a couple of weeks and I shall enjoy hearing how their plans are going. We are invited to the wedding with both of our daughter’s and their husbands - a real family doo!

Sorry to hear so many of us lot on here are feeling unwell. I hope all with illness or worries feel better soon.

gillybob I hope the washer part arrives today for you and that it is the right one!

Susan56 do go over to see your grandchild today. Take the baby out for a stroll in the pram and give the new parents a rest if need be - it will cheer you at the same time.

Hope Wednesday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Good morning from a dry NE.
DH usually meets old work colleagues on a Wednesday and I catch up with TV.
Need to get my sister's birthday present to her as she is going away for her birthday, I don't think she has ever celebrated at home.
Thinking of you gilly and all poorly people.

Good morning from east London, grey but dry so far. Not my turn for Wednesday tennis so will keep going stripping my tomato plants. Had a wander around Kings X yesterday with my friends after lunch having seen the mess around Euston that is HS2. There is some impressive landscaping going on, not just trendy new shops and offices. Anyway, school pickup later, gymnastics after and maybe even a visit to a carpet shop. Dragonfly, I looked on oncology as a belt and braces move and I took delight in describing it to people as my FEC-king treatment after the chemicals used. Have a good day all.

Urmston, thank you?I have taken your advice and messaged my daughter. We are going over later and looking after baby while she has a rest and then having a takeaway for tea.
Love this friendly thread.Sometimes another person can see what we can’t and what will help.

Washing out, though if I am not careful it will come in even wetter but I believe laundry needs fresh air before a winter of tumble drying. marydoll posting to send you get well quick if you can wishes. To everyone feeling poorly I sympathise having just had a bug, been unable to eat and tossed and turned feeling unwell. Plucking up the courage to ... have a slice of toast! susan56. Pram pushing sounds lovely because everyone will say hello. Best wishes to everyone else.

Morning All

Sending happy and healing vibes to all those who’re feeling miserable and/or under the weather. There seems to be a lot of it about at the moment (perhaps it’s our ages).

Overcast here in Norfolk today so DH has suggested we go to see Downton. I can’t do much anyway, yesterday afternoon I went to have my regular sports massage, which keeps my back working, and I could hardly get up the stairs last night! Very stiff and sore today, but I should be back to normal tomorrow. My fault for leaving it a couple of weeks too long.

Good morning,

It’s turned wet in the last five minutes. I think it’s going to be one of those showery days today.

To all feeling unwell, I hope you soon feel better, and Marydoll, I’ve crossed fingers that you improve between now and Friday so you can have your angiogram.

I’ve got to wait around for the alarm engineer coming later this morning. A fault has developed so that it keeps bleeping when it shouldn’t, going off any time it feels like it!

Tonight my SiL’s will be calling round for a coffee and chat. Hardly seems a week since we went to the pictures to see Downton Abbey.

Hope today is a good one.

Morning Michael, Annie, and all.
Dry and bright here, although it started out like that yesterday, then absolutely poured with rain in the afternoon.
I have a blood test booked for late morning, and not sure if I can walk there, so may have to get DH to drive me instead.
To Marydoll, you will have to stop doing all this childcare, when you need some yourself. ?
Dragonfly, good luck with whatever the Drs have in mind for you.
Gillybob, ?that your washer part arrives today.
Another day of doing nothing . Oh joy.
DH has just said it is now raining!
Have a good day one and all

Auntieflo, fortunately, DS1 and DIL are off this week, so a break for me. My dear SIL has offered to step into to cover next week, if I don't pick up.
I hope you are making good progress.

Urmstongran Wed 09-Oct-19 10:47:22

Susan56 ?

Auntieflo Wed 09-Oct-19 12:27:19

I do salute all grandparents who do such a lot of childcare, and also hope that they are much appreciated and not taken for granted. Bless your SIL for offering childcare next week.

Marydoll, thank you. Have recovered well from my prolapse repair, but it is the painful hip/ back that is really getting me down.

Barmeyoldbat Wed 09-Oct-19 16:44:26

Good late afternoon. I have to hold my hand up that I slept until nearly 10.30 this morning after several days of back and stomach pains. Yesterday was a terrible day, but I managed to sleep well with aid of a hot water bottle.

So getting up with no pain I decided to do a bit of gentle work around the house but ended up with me sat glued to the TV watching Wales play in the rugby. Then out for a light lunch and now back home resting as the pain is just starting to come back, so hot was bottle treatment.

Urmstongran Wed 09-Oct-19 16:51:13

Hi Barmeyoldbat better late than never! Glad you managed to catch up on some much needed sleep in the end.
