Good Morning Mick; Has been yet another lovely day here in Melb. Thank you everyone who prayed for our rain yesterday; storms rolled in at 5.00pm lots of spectacular lightning. A bit cooler today 25C but that's OK. Better than Cumbria! OoRoo

It is really, really, really cold in North Leicestershire.

My cleaners are coming this morning. I'm still not used to the new regime - 2 people for 2 hours, alternate weeks. My old cleaner came once a week for 3.5 hours and I could leave her to do what was needed.

Getting light here with a band of red to the east. The moon looks lovely with a star either side and it is extremely frosty with snow forecast for today.

Some lovely news yesterday....it involves buying a hat at some point.

Good morning Micheal, Anniebach and everyone from a dark, dry Birmingham. That snow and fog forecast for this morning have not appeared, and it doesn’t feel too cold. I have my usual appointment this morning, then I have a free day, because the friend who was going to come for lunch cannot make it after all. So, after I’ve eaten lunch for two, I will waddle into Moseley to post some parcels and do a little shopping. My lovely cleaner comes this morning, so my apartment will look beautiful. I imagine there's more than a dusting of snow; the news did say that the snowman population was increasing rapidly, so at least the kids are enjoying themselves. Watch out for their slippery slides!

Frosty in South Bucks.

Off to the Garden Centre to meet a friend for lunch. Years ago I used to think Garden Centres were so dull and boring but in the last 20+ years they have transformed themselves adding Cafes, clothes, groceries. My favourite one is the Burford Garden Centre in the Cotswolds, however it is very pricey, but there is a lovely children’s section and the cafe is top class, however the DH mumbles ‘there are no chips’ ☹️

Good morning from sunny Colchester. A thick frost and BBC weather says -4 degrees, I'm not testing it so I'll take their word for it.
Need to pop to the shops for a few bits but I'll wait until the sun has warmed the place up to at least freezing!

The moon looked like a toenail as I looked out earlier, a lovely clear sky. The old stray cat is back curled up in his kennel----hope he's not stiff !.

Hello everyone. Very frosty in Northampton, but hoping it might have thawed out this afternoon as I need to go into town to the bank.
Sainsbury's delivering this morning so will have to get a move on. Done a largish shop this week so won't need a delivery next week, just milk and veg perhaps.
Book club went ok yesterday, but as I had read the first book (Eleanor Oliphant) last October, I found that I had forgotten quite a bit of the detail in it. Hopefully next time the book will still be fresh in my mind so that I will have something a bit more substantial to contribute to the discussion!
Had to miss my walking group yesterday, so decided to walk home (about 2 miles). from book group instead as it was lovely and sunny and I was wrapped up warm.

DH now defrosting the car, he is going to a NT property near Cardiff where he works on the website, it will be good for him today. He is going to drop me off at a nearby M&S enroute so I'd better stir myself.

Not venturing out this morning as very cold out. House work for me this morning. Dinner tonight at an Italian restaurant, weather permitting as is a car journey to get there.

Morning Mick, morning All from a very frosty if pretty corner of Somerset. Assume it’s cold but no plans to venture out to check. Mr C has the lurgy, sudden onset last night all very odd, so will be keeping an eye on him today. Hope Thursday is kind to everyone and be careful on the ice.

Good morning. Yes a heavy frost here in Leicestershire. There will be some scraping of the windscreen although I saw yesterday that you can fill a 2 litre milk container with warm water and rub it on the windscreen. I really should put the car in the garage!

Good morning Mick and all from a very foggy and chilly Glasgow, it's -4 degrees.
I got a very plesant surprise last night, when my rheumatologist phoned me at home to apologise for the fact that my urgent appointment had been cancelled twice.
We had a long discussion and the upshot is new medication and he has also insisted on a special eye test.
New info about my medication has deemed an eye test necessary for those who have been on my current medication for over five years, I have been on it for twenty! A bit late for me!
Unfortunately not many opticians nor hospitals have the very expensive machine required for the test. Time for some detective work, I think.
I plan to venture out today, as I haven't been out all week and fancy some fish for tea.
Later we will collect DGD from nursery, feed and bath her, as mummy is working late and daddy is away on busines down south.

Hello everyone from County Durham.
A bitterly cold day ahead here but will be venturing out shortly for a "me time" shop which will probably involve a coffee stop.
Pilates was good yesterday so between that and yoga my aim is to build up more flexibility and strength during the year.
Work in the kitchen continues as it gradually becomes an empty space ready for the new units being delivered tomorrow afternoon.
The day will end with a visit to DD1 as it's her birthday, and as her husband works away, there will be no celebrating until the weekend.

Good morning all from a a very cold but bright Fife. Slept like a baby last night but was well needed. Have no plans today and I am quite glad of that, will take my time doing chores I need to do. For those under the weather and those who have snow take care. Hope everyone has a good day.
