Just seen the story of the 72 year old woman who has had a holiday romance and married the 19 yr old shock

MawBroon Wed 16-Jan-19 21:12:40

?????

merlotgran Wed 16-Jan-19 21:16:14

I'm only 71 so it can't have been me.

Phew!

Anniebach Wed 16-Jan-19 21:17:48

Not me, haven’t been holiday for years ?

dragonfly46 Wed 16-Jan-19 21:18:17

As I am 72 the story fills me with horror. I think I have forgotten what to do with a 19 year old unless he is good at odd jobs!! wink

phoenix Wed 16-Jan-19 21:27:53

Haven't seen the story, but sorry to say it makes me go either bleurgh or hmm.

Either very, very odd, or some back story regarding passports, visas etc.

(Not like me to be so judgemental!)

Grannybags Wed 16-Jan-19 21:29:36

I don't think a 19 year old would be experienced enough for me.....wink

Cherrytree59 Wed 16-Jan-19 21:30:28

One is Sad and delusional

The other is after something.......

BlueBelle Wed 16-Jan-19 21:31:20

Notme I ve got cobwebs

grumppa Wed 16-Jan-19 21:32:04

If this is the new trend, what hope for me and the other men of my generation?

PECS Wed 16-Jan-19 21:49:00

My imagination is good but not good enough to imagine true romantic love with a couple with such an age difference....

NanKate Wed 16-Jan-19 21:52:04

She must have money - the daft bat ?He will be asking her to buy him a house next and new clothes.

aggie Wed 16-Jan-19 21:54:41

I am a wee bitty older , but as far as I can remember I was kind of rusted up in the errrrrrrrrrrrrr mmmmmmmm marriage department

Bellanonna Wed 16-Jan-19 22:07:03

This was last year. He had just ended a relationship with a 77 year old woman. Her grandson is older than her husband!

Charleygirl5 Wed 16-Jan-19 22:08:15

NanKate I agree, that has to be the motive.

Jalima1108 Wed 16-Jan-19 22:14:20

Is this the American couple who met at a Chuck E Cheese birthday party?
I think they have been married for a while.

Who said that romance is dead?

Bellanonna Wed 16-Jan-19 22:15:37

Two years apparently Jalima. Seems he likes older women though he’s gone for a “younger” one this time .

harrigran Wed 16-Jan-19 22:18:04

I am 72 but it is not me either, I would never fall for that.

Squiffy Wed 16-Jan-19 22:21:56

I think he misheard her. She asked, “Will you carry me?” not “Will you marry me?” wink

BradfordLass72 Wed 16-Jan-19 22:32:40

I've just looked at the Daily Mail's pictures and they look happy enough, so why not?

Mind you, I wouldn't trust a woman with eyes like that.

Judgemental? Maoi?

PECS Wed 16-Jan-19 22:33:29

I gather they met at a funeral....

BradfordLass72 Wed 16-Jan-19 22:33:33

or even "moi?"

Blimey! proof read woman, proof read!

Bellanonna Wed 16-Jan-19 22:42:10

In fact I thought it was a double entendre along the lines of being catty - miaow (more or less)

NannyJan53 Thu 17-Jan-19 06:43:46

At 65 I am far too young smile

I read that they met at her son's funeral.

Despite the huge age gap they look genuinely happy and been together for two years!

They're both American, so no marrying for visa, etc.
