Morning Mick, morning all.

Still dark in North Leicestershire but it doesn't feel too cold - at least inside.

Thank you for the birthday wishes yesterday. Our whole family (20 of us) are going for lunch to a restaurant in the village to celebrate today.

Enjoy your days everyone.

Good Morning Mick, and everyone.
Still dark in my part of Wiltshire, but not so cold.
No real plans for today.
Hope you all have a good day.
smile

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Cold and still dark in South Yorkshire. Junior footie starts up again today and it is an early kick off ☹️. Enjoy your curry, Mick, and I hope your family lunch goes swimmingly, Kitty. Have a happy day!

Good morning all from East Northants. Dark and chilly outside. No particular plans , I will see what the day brings. Keep warm everyone!

dragonfly46 Sun 06-Jan-19 07:43:41

Good Morning still dark here - I long for lighter mornings.

Nothing on today.

Hope you have a lovely lunch Kitty.

Gagagran Sun 06-Jan-19 07:50:58

Good Morning everyone. I agree dragonfly - I long for the light too. But it's on its way and every day we get a litle more now the year has turned.

I find January a real grind to get through. It always seems long, cold and boring to me. Like a month of Sundays.

Hope you have a good family meal kitty. I love it when we do that. Looking round the table and seeing all the faces of my nearest and dearest is special.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Morning Mick and All.

Grey and chilly in South Bucks.

Have fun with the family Kitty.

Yes Greyduster I too am limbering up for the footie season. I have been given a number of football cards from both grandsons (I suspect they are ones they have doubles of) so must learn all the foreign names before I see them next. I have moved up the rankings in our indoor footie games from Mascot to Commentator. ?⚽️

Have a good day folks.

Good morning from a dark Colchester. Going to be a grey day, although the temperature is up a couple of degrees.
No plans here other than a roast beef dinner.

Greyduster Sun 06-Jan-19 08:10:16

NanKate?. Commentator! Exalted status!

Brunette10 Sun 06-Jan-19 08:18:16

Morning to everyone and to those who follow from a dark damp Fife. Looks quite dismal outside. Have 2 DGS's today for the day so will be arriving soon. Not sure what the day will bring but it will def be a busy one. Kitty have a wonderful lunch, good to have so many celebrating with you. Hope everyone has a pleasant day.

aggie Sun 06-Jan-19 08:25:00

Good Morning all , I am still groggy with this cold , need to get up soon . Most of the decorations down yesterday and the dust is to be removed today

Good Evening Mick and all sickies! Lovely day here in Melb. after last week's heat, about 25C. Far better than Sydney where "rain" actually interrupted the Test match. Dear oh dear! sad

Marydoll Sun 06-Jan-19 08:27:06

Good morning all from a wet and dismal Glasgow.
I have been up since the crack of dawn, chicken already in the oven, soup and coleslaw made, now I can relax.

Off out to Sainsbury's while it's quiet, so don't have to brave the motorway traffic. Click and Collect seemed a good idea at the time. grin

Have a lovely lunch with your family Kitty.
Brunette, I hope you are not to tired by the end of the day!!

cornergran Sun 06-Jan-19 08:32:20

Morning Mick, morning All from a milder but grey corner of Somerset. Still a bit wobbly so little on the agenda today. Have a happy day kitty, guess your lunch won’t be quiet smile. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

annsixty Sun 06-Jan-19 08:50:29

Good Morning all.
Full and dismal here in Stockport.
What a lovely family lunch you have to look forward to kitty
I am green with envy.
My family don't do "occasions" all stems from my mother.
That's another story, not suitable for your very happy day.

annsixty Sun 06-Jan-19 08:51:05

It's dull here not full !!

Auntieflo Sun 06-Jan-19 08:54:07

Good morning Mick, Annie and all .
I was up early this morning, tablet taking, then catching up on here.
Congratulations to all with birthday celebrations , enjoy your get togethers.
Off to Church later, so had better stir my stumps.
Have a good day one and all.

Anniebach Sun 06-Jan-19 08:54:20

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Hope everyone has a good day x

DoraMarr Sun 06-Jan-19 09:03:15

Good morning Anniebach, Micheal and everyone from a dry and mild Birmingham, where the clouds are beginning to part. I’ve just had breakfast (in bed) and am contemplating getting up- I love my lie-ins at my partner’s at the weekend! My plans today include a trip to the Barber Institute for an art fix. I’m hoping they still have some calendars left too.
Micheal, are you going out for your curry lunch, or making it yourself?
I hope everyone has a good day!

vwaves Sun 06-Jan-19 09:05:00

Good morning, rather like this thread! Grey here in Warrington too but dry!
Sadly like others I am not too well. Luckily took my decorations down and cleaned the house on 30th.
My birthday next week on Thursday.
Have a nice Sunday everyone

aggie Sun 06-Jan-19 09:11:17

No Church this Morning , our Priest has decided to have Mass in the small chapel 3 miles away ,on the first Sunday of the month . I usually walk up to the village Church , I tried for a lift but no one was available , I do miss it , but what can I do , the man is trying to do the work of three

NannyJan53 Sun 06-Jan-19 09:14:35

Good Morning from a dull but fairly mild Black Country.

Not long up as we didn't get to bed till gone 1.00am! Went out for a Curry in Knowle to celebrate Partners brothers 65th and retirement. Driving home on M42 poor Partner was not well at all.....just managed to get home! He is now in bed feeling very unwell. Not sure if it the meal or just a bug. Didn't even want a cup of tea this morning, just a glass of water.

So not sure of plans to day, will play it by ear. I may go to the gym, as I have not been since before Christmas. New year new start!

Enjoy your birthday meal kitty, it is lovely when family get together. There were 11 of us having lunch on Thursday for Mums 89th.

Wishing everyone a good day, and all .

harrigran Sun 06-Jan-19 09:33:24

Good morning, cool but dry here in the NE.
Haven't heard from family as to whether we will see them today, if they just turn up it will not be a gourmet meal.
Sore joints today so limited activity.

Barmeyoldbat Sun 06-Jan-19 09:34:32

Good morning one and all, up early today and despite it being cold and grey we are going over to Wales to go for a cycle ride. We will wrap up warm and have plenty of stops to fill up with hot drinks. NannyJen hope your other half gets well soon
