Oldbatty, would you mind explaining? I’m fairly new and I’m not even sure what this is relating to or am I being naive about forums like this having never been on one before. What am I missing here?

Vickiexx, some posts are deemed to be 'not genuine' and at the moment there are a couple of strange subjects under discussion. One is not allowed to suggest they are not genuine otherwise your post gets deleted for 'troll hunting' which is against the forum rules. I find it easier to assume that all posters are genuine, however odd the subject matter.

That's right beau, spot on. There has been a sharp influx of new members who have a keen interest in pubic hair; breast muscles (and the lack of) and their sex lives (and anyone else's). Bleurgh....

I'm less concerned about some of the new posters who are starting threads, than the comments posted on some existing threads by people who seem to have either an attitude problem, or some sort of agenda.

Thank you Beau. In my ignorance, having never joined chat groups before, I thought people here were all genuine posters and even the most intimate of subjects could be discussed with sincerity, especially concerning the menopause. I now realise people could be open to exploitation when disingenuous people infiltrate threads,or start what could be considered dubious threads,whether intentional or not. Again, food for thought indeed.

The definition of bullying is when an individual or a group of people with more power, repeatedly and intentionally cause hurt or harm to another person or group of people who feel helpless to respond.

Vicki You should know that anyone can access the posts on GN - you only have to be a member if you want to post anything.
By all means discuss ‘intimate issues’ but be aware that your comments might be seen by trawling journalists and end up on the pages of the Daily Mail and other unsavoury organs.

You have not been bullied Vickixx, not by me, nor anyone else to my knowledge. Just as you are free to post on any "sensitive issues", I am free to post my distaste of them.

I’ve absolutely nothing to hide and would gladly share my menopause symptoms with the daily mail if it helped other women. Actually sex after the menopause is a trending subject nowadays and there’s nothing distasteful about it.

But it may not be interesting (except to you)

I hope the daily mail would be interested in my faith in God too which again I’d gladly share, or am I not worthy having spoken about the s word & dared to mention bras. Laughable if it wasn’t so sad.
