Good Morning Everyone,
its dark but its looking wet and cold outside here in brackley .
yesterday , changed my plans quick, whilst on X5 to Oxford it started to rain, but it was cold, had a breakfast in Debenhams in Oxford , then returned on buses home via Banbury, just in case the weather turned for the worst, but generally to cold out to enjoy a proper day out.

Good Morning Sunday
(25 Posts)Good Morning Mick. I think you made the right decision not to linger outdoors yesterday. It was grim here on the south coast. Hoping for a better day today.
Father Christmas (aka DD) came round yesterday with the new bike he will be bringing for DGS, to store in our garage. It was nice to have a catch up with her and to hear of her recent visits to Europe to cancer research conferences. It is rare to see her actually sit down and enjoy a cup of tea so it was good seeing her do just that!
Not a lot planned for today but no doubt something will be needed!
Hope the day is a good one for us all and that your mouth is not too sore corner.
Good morning Micheal and everyone from a still dark Birmingham. I’m sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea watching the first faint glimmer of dawn. I’m going to a family get- together in a restaurant in Northamptonshire today. The snow we were warned about didn’t make it yesterday, so I hope we have an easy journey today. I agree, Micheal, it was horribly cold and windy yesterday!
Morning, folks! The rain/sleet/hail of yesterday has left a thin icing of white this morning and the stars are bright. Today I'm making another of Rukmini Iyer's recipes—we loved her jasmine rice with butternut squash and cashews yesterday—and using up the meat juices from baked pork to make some soup. I was visiting DD1 last week. I always come back with recipes ???????
Morning Mick and Everyone! Has been quite cool here today 22C, but watching the TV recording of City v The Toffees at Etihad gave me the shivers this morning! It must have been painfully cold with spectators dressed like Eskimos. Just as well City won!
Good Morning all and to those who follow. It's dark and wet here in Fife just now. Kept an eye on weather yesterday and it seemed to be bad around some areas, hope it improves for everyone today. DH and I still have sore throats and runny noses so will stay indoors today, nothing planned anyway. Keep well everyone.
Morning from a cold and clear South Bucks.
Ventured out in the wind and rain yesterday to pick up my new computer glasses which are excellent.
Off to NT Cliveden for a coffee and festive cake a walk round the grounds a quick visit to the Garden Centre then back to wrapping the gifts.
Have a pleasant day folks
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A clear, lightening sky this morning with a hard frost. I expect if I had looked out at half past five when I woke up I may have seen some shooting stars. It is the Geminid season. We are having our first coffee of the day waiting for GS to wake up, then it is breakfast and take him home as he is playing football this morning. I’m sure he would sooner stay in bed!! Nothing planned for the afternoon - it’s been a busy weekend already. Have a good day, folks.
Good morning All x
So quiet after the gales yesterday and up to now has the makings of a nice bright day. A bit of washing to do to get it out of the way, general tidying up and must check the plug on the lights which have intermittently gone on and off at certain times ? A mystery.
Cards to re-check ready for sending and a quick crossing off of those sent.
I think it's enough to keep me out of mischief !
Hope all is well and goes well for everyone today.
Good morning all. Dry but cold so far in East Northants. Spent yesterday afternoon knitting and watching It's a Wonderful Life - lovely! Really enjoyed Strictly finals too - good tv and a warm throw is all that's needed on a bitterly cold day! Hope to get to Rushden Lakes early this morning and have a coffee before the shops open. Hope today is good for everyone.
Morning All
We’ve not been able to see any shooting stars as there’s been too much cloud, but today has dawned bright and clear - and bloomin’ cold, so perhaps tonight we may be in with a chance.
Nothing planned for today (although there is a large basket of ironing glaring at me). Perhaps a walk somewhere while the sky is bright.
Good morning all, it's 6 degrees in Glasgow and the predicted snow has come to nothing, thank goodness! Although, we had driving sleet for most of the day. I had to drive in it last night and visibility was almost zero.
DD is visiting so that I can alter her three pairs of jeans. as she NEEDS them in time for Christmas! That means I spent yesterday baking, as they are always looking for goodies when they come.
I'm also going to make her fiancé's vegetarian Christmas dinner and freeze it to make life easier.
Whatever your plans, have a very pleasant Sunday.
Morning all. Dry and bright in Leicestershire. Busy day yesterday so quiet one today. I will go and visit my mum.
Greetings from a storm lashed Aberdeenshire. That was some night of gales and rain...it's calm now but the river has burst its banks. Shall have to sweep up broken glass later as I heard panes from the greenhouse smashing. It's pottering, stay in the warm day.
Brunette10, you need lots of hot toddy!
Have a good day all and keep safe.
Good morning, it is much improved here after last night's snow. It was bitterly cold all day yesterday and the snow started at dusk.
DS and family had a power cut just before six last night and still had not returned after midnight. Where they live it is always 2 or 3 degrees cooler so I think it will have been very uncomfortable.
Morning Mkck, morning All from a bright and blessedly dry corner of Somerset. Apparently more rain due later which is sort of OK as a quiet, indoor day planned here. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.
Good morning from sunny Colchester. Going to be a nice crisp day.
DIY today as a light fell from the ceiling last night, polyfilla is needed.
Good Morning from a bright and dry Black Country, after a very cold and wet Saturday!
Housework first, then getting the Christmas Decorations down from the loft today, and making the house festive!
Partner is still asleep, so no vacuuming till he is awake, oh well, will just sit here drinking coffee
Roast lamb tonight, then prepare for a busy week ahead. I think I only have Wednesday when I am home all day.
Have a good Sunday everyone.
Good morning all from a sunny & milder Shepperton. Yesterday was cold, dark & rainy and pretty grim which always fills me with complete inertia. Nothing planned today but a walk is definitely in order. Have good days all.
Good morning from Northampton. Dry here and a clear blue sky. Lashed it down with rain yesterday.
Had fun making Christmas biscuits yesterday with DGD. A nice easy dough to make, but would probably halve it next time, put in more ginger and a little less cocoa!
Enjoyed watching the original 1947 version of Miracle on 34th Street yesterday.
Wrapping presents today, no doubt supervised by the cats!
Hope you all have a good day. Enjoy your shopping at Rushden Lakes, Willow, I was there on Thursday.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Raining in Powys .
Hope everyone has a good day x
oldgaijin - sounds good. I certainly have all the ingredients to make one so maybe will give it a go later on.
Good Morning from a sodden Co Armagh . Lovely clear sky and only a wee breeze . Mass shortly and a quiet day
Thank you Blue - I always try to get there early on Sunday, before the madness starts! At least M&S will be open to browse and have a coffee.
Good morning all x
Off for lunch with 2 of AC, wives and GC for one of GC’s Birthday.
