Morning Mick, morning All from a dark and damp corner of Somerset, supposed to be dry soon though. No idea what I’ll do today, Mr C still struggling so suspect it will be sensible to keep an eye on him. He’s not always sensible when poorly hmm. Hope the shopping is successful mick and Friday is kind to everyone.

Good morning Mick, Annie, cornergran and everyone, from a damp Birmingham. I’m having my early morning tea watching the sun rise over Moseley. My day with my one year old grandson today. I’ll be taking him for a walk in the park and a go on the swings later, so I hope the rain keeps off. My two year old granddaughter helped me choose a little Christmas tree yesterday, and we put it on the balcony and decorated it with lights. So now I feel quite Christmassy! I don’t usually have any decorations up so early, but I’m having a little party this weekend for one of our friends who is going away next week, so I wanted to wave him off with a bit of cheer. I’ll leave the other decorations until nearer the big day.
I hope all those suffering with various ailments feel better today, and those who are caring for others have a good day.

Good morning, still dark but looks dry.
Nothing planned for today so maybe I will tidy my desk drawers so that I can find things.
Best wishes to poorly people.

Morning everyone.
Clear sky and a bright moon could be seen at 4am sad
It's dry and chilly in Kent. We got soaked last night but Grindlwald was good.
Food shopping today and DH is off to London for his annual get together with his cousin and the few that are left from their 1970s footie team.
Have a good day all.

Marydoll Fri 30-Nov-18 07:15:40

Good morning all and a happy St Andrew's Day to Scots everywhere.
Raining here in Glasgow, but we are off to Edinburgh, where the forecast is also rain! sad
Still coughing away, but we planned this family adventure ages ago and I'm determined to go! .
Thinking of dragonfly this morning and Ann, who has been about much.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning from a damp and dull Black Country.

Had a lovely day with Mum yesterday, and we drove out to Pattingham for lunch.

Today, I am going with SIL to view a couple of houses. They have just been let down on one they really wanted, as they rejected offer, then few weeks later accepted it....then 3 weeks later pulled out saying it was worth more!
Hopefully, one of these today will be worth DD viewing later.

Hope Mr C will be feeling better soon Corner, and love and hugs to all feeling poorly or going through tough times at the moment.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Sitting here watching the dawn creep up the sky. We are going to have a bright day in South Yorkshire. On a sadder note, we have a family funeral to attend this afternoon, so I am glad at least that the weather is going to be dry. My son is staying over tonight and my GS will be here too, so it will be me and the three not-very-wise men for a curry tonight. Have a good day folks.

Good Morning everyone!

We are promised a mild and sunny day here on the south coast, which will be most welcome, after the recent rain and wind.

The first Christmas "do" for me today. It's the WI Christmas lunch at the local FE college. The students are training for the hospitality sector and are well supervised as they cook and serve a lovely meal. We like to support them and the price is surprisingly economical, which means that all our members can afford to come.

Hope the day is a good one for us all and everybody on the sick list is feeling a bit better. sunshine

Gagagran Fri 30-Nov-18 07:20:24

Sorry to hear you have a funeral Grey but you made me smile with the description of your menfolk! wink

Good morning All x
Unusually mild but dry here in the NW so far. Couldn't help but think about dragonfly and how she's coping with that news from yesterday.
Glad you're feeling more " human " gillybob ", try and take things a bit easier until you get your sea-legs.
Thoughts to anyone who's feeling under the weather x

Good morning everyone. I saw a large star in the sky or was it a planet as i opened the curtains this morning. Is anyone out there knowledgable about the stars?? I took a photo of it plus one of the moon to show my DH when he shows his face!!! lol. On my way home from whist club last night i had a beautiful view of the christmas tree in our town garden it looked like a beacon , magical!!! I will walk that way this morning to check it out en route to my knitting group and then the library. Thoughts are with all of you with health worries and other problems, i wish you peace and some pain free time if possible.

Blue45Sapphire Fri 30-Nov-18 08:05:54

Good morning everyone. Dry and bright here in Northampton, which is good as it the hairdressers this morning, so I'll be able to walk home in the dry.
Will be meeting DGDs after school and bringing them home for tea; they have requested hot dogs today! I shall be making myself a curry.

Auntieflo Fri 30-Nov-18 08:12:34

Good morning Mick, Annie to come and all others. Wishing Dragonfly all the best and sending healing thoughts
I’m glad that Gillybob is beginning to feel a bit more like herself, and also best wishes to an absent Annsixty and to Mr C.
Happy St Andrews day to all the Scots GN’s. ( I couldn’t find a thistle for you)
We bought a new rug yesterday. Not quite an impulse buy, as we had been talking about it, but we both saw it, liked it and hey presto, are now awaiting delivery, exciting, and cheered me up. Now, what to do with the ‘old’ one??
I am off to a couple of hours volunteering this afternoon, happy days.
Have a good day one and all.

oldgaijin Fri 30-Nov-18 08:13:48

Good morning from a wind and rain free Aberdeenshire, at last! There is a glorious sunrise and the first North Sea helicopter of the day is buzzing busily out to sea. Happy St Andrews day, all.

Good morning from North Yorkshire where it is wet again despite a better forecast.
travelsofar I have an iPad app (GoSkyWatchP) that you point at the sky and it shows you the planets. There are others but this works for me.
Off to York to meet other Grans and explore the Christmas market.
Decorating will be finished today then a quick clean up before the family assemble for the weekend. Sunday will be 40 years since I married. The DDs have been amazing support since DH died last year.
Hope the day is a good one for everyone.
