what a lovey day i woke up with just pain in my neck a great improvement on previous days. so done some washing and pegged it out. hour later got it back in ,it was dry...just as i was ready to go out the front door ,cat decides he wants a walk around communal gardens so on goes his harness and off we go... 10 mins later back in as its a bit cold for him. and a plate of new cat food is the answer to is loud miowing... then me back out the door to salvation army charity shop. then shopping in lidl and home, jacket potatoes for tea. could only manage one potato, and a slice of battenburg cake, and 4 glasses of water.back is aching but think i done well today..

We went to Brackley today, to the Antiques Cellar. It makes me sad to see all those toys and sets of china etc. that nobody wants any more.

Good Morning from Seattle!
My DH and I are at the airport waiting for a flight to Austin, Texas for a long weekend. We’re going to visit my stepdaughter and our 2 DGS and one DGD. It’s a little rainy here and about 46 degrees F. In Austin the temperature is in the high 70s F. We’re excited about seeing everyone. Have a wonderful day!

A sunny blue sky morning in north Cornwall. A few daffs opening up after three days of, in some areas thirty foot waves, power lines and trees down from 'nothing short of ' hurricane force winds. My heart goes out to our brave fishermen and that they are safely back in harbour.

Good morning everyone from a hot & sunny Malaga. 21 days till the shortest day of the year and this sunny weather out here lifts the spirits and ‘shortens’ the winter for sure!

Feelingmyage55 Fri 30-Nov-18 11:22:04

Good morning and happy St Andrews day from my part of Scotland. The sun is shining! I have been helping clear the gutters after a very stormy and noisy night. Haggis, needs and tatties for supper tonight. Back to the chores now.

Good morning everyone.
It’s a beautiful morning and I have been outside cementing holes. We had new doors put in at the back of the house and they did such a messy job that I have had to dig out the cement and redo it myself. They ignored my complaint but I honestly didn’t want them to come back and make a mess again so I’m doing it myself though I have to take a nice squashy cushion outside to kneel on and stand up and stretch every 5 minutes. Just having a coffee before I go back out to carry on.

Good morning,
A much brighter morning than yesterday and less windy, though it feels cooler.
More Christmas shopping to do today - hoping to finish it ( most of it is done already, just a few stocking bits for DH whilst he's not with me).
Happy St Andrews day to all you Scottish GN's.

Happy St Andrew's day!!
Well done Marydoll finding a thistle.
There is white heather in the garden.
It really will be haggis tonight as I have some visitors from Europe staying.
Is that the sun I can see?

Morning all from a bright North Leicestershire. Bit late today after a very busy day yesterday. Just pootling and faffing today - but lots of it! Take care everyone.

Thinking of Dragonfly and Ann. Marydoll glad you feel like going out and hope you get 100% soon. Enjoy your day in Edin. Try and have a good day folks.

Good morning from North Yorkshire where it is wet again despite a better forecast.
travelsofar I have an iPad app (GoSkyWatchP) that you point at the sky and it shows you the planets. There are others but this works for me.
Off to York to meet other Grans and explore the Christmas market.
Decorating will be finished today then a quick clean up before the family assemble for the weekend. Sunday will be 40 years since I married. The DDs have been amazing support since DH died last year.
Hope the day is a good one for everyone.

Good morning from a wind and rain free Aberdeenshire, at last! There is a glorious sunrise and the first North Sea helicopter of the day is buzzing busily out to sea. Happy St Andrews day, all.

Auntieflo Fri 30-Nov-18 08:12:34

Good morning Mick, Annie to come and all others. Wishing Dragonfly all the best and sending healing thoughts
I’m glad that Gillybob is beginning to feel a bit more like herself, and also best wishes to an absent Annsixty and to Mr C.
Happy St Andrews day to all the Scots GN’s. ( I couldn’t find a thistle for you)
We bought a new rug yesterday. Not quite an impulse buy, as we had been talking about it, but we both saw it, liked it and hey presto, are now awaiting delivery, exciting, and cheered me up. Now, what to do with the ‘old’ one??
I am off to a couple of hours volunteering this afternoon, happy days.
Have a good day one and all.

Blue45Sapphire Fri 30-Nov-18 08:05:54

Good morning everyone. Dry and bright here in Northampton, which is good as it the hairdressers this morning, so I'll be able to walk home in the dry.
Will be meeting DGDs after school and bringing them home for tea; they have requested hot dogs today! I shall be making myself a curry.

travelsafar Fri 30-Nov-18 07:59:55

Good morning everyone. I saw a large star in the sky or was it a planet as i opened the curtains this morning. Is anyone out there knowledgable about the stars?? I took a photo of it plus one of the moon to show my DH when he shows his face!!! lol. On my way home from whist club last night i had a beautiful view of the christmas tree in our town garden it looked like a beacon , magical!!! I will walk that way this morning to check it out en route to my knitting group and then the library. Thoughts are with all of you with health worries and other problems, i wish you peace and some pain free time if possible.

EllanVannin Fri 30-Nov-18 07:52:35

Good morning All x
Unusually mild but dry here in the NW so far. Couldn't help but think about dragonfly and how she's coping with that news from yesterday.
Glad you're feeling more " human " gillybob ", try and take things a bit easier until you get your sea-legs.
Thoughts to anyone who's feeling under the weather x

Pittcity Fri 30-Nov-18 07:49:53

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Feeling colder than yesterday.
DGS2 is here again and we will go to the park for some playtime and then prise him away for a McD treat.
Got to coax him out of his PJs first!

Willow10 Fri 30-Nov-18 07:46:24
