Marvellous news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will actually be visiting Melbourne! smile
Would be even more marvellous if they could announce that another pair of tiny Royal feet is on the way. Can't wait! blush

MawBroon Wed 12-Sept-18 12:15:25

Is that an [ironic] emoticon Rufus? smile

Anniebach Wed 12-Sept-18 12:23:40

Even more marvellous. They dicide to live there

farview Wed 12-Sept-18 12:36:51

grin Annie...

gillybob Wed 12-Sept-18 12:46:27

Even more marvellous. They decide to live there

Exactly Annie

Could you lock them in by any chance Rufus ? wink

GrannyGravy13 Wed 12-Sept-18 12:56:46

I hope they get to see the real Melbourne and meet its lovely inhabitants.

My favourite city, have spent a lot of very happy time in Melbourne, one of my best girlfriends and all her family live there.

Rufus2 Wed 12-Sept-18 14:24:26

and meet its lovely inhabitants
Grannygravy; Thank you so much for your compliment. You've made my day! which is nearly over, but I'll re-read it tomorrow and make my Thursday! Perhaps we can discuss Melbourne when the Royals are here. I'd like that. smile

NanKate Wed 12-Sept-18 15:05:52

I think they are a lovely couple, particularly Prince Harry. ????

paddyann Wed 12-Sept-18 15:20:54

if they decide to stay will they please take some other RF with them? Apparently his SIL is getting "broody" again, just months after her last birth. Is that really "broody" or is she work shy?

Anniebach Wed 12-Sept-18 15:52:12

When did she tell you that Paddyann, did you know Megan was pregnant when they got married ?

Rufus2 Thu 13-Sept-18 10:56:24

Could you lock them in by any chance Rufus ?
'Fraid not; I could be charged with treason and deported back to the Old Dart on the next available plane and you wouldn't want that; would you???
I wouldn't! the climate would kill me. sad
Anyway, don't they own the place? When they're in
Melbourne I'll pass on your best wishes; I know the Duchess won't be wearing "beige", Probably Green and Gold for the Games. grin

gillybob Thu 13-Sept-18 11:55:33

Oh that's a pity Ruf fingers crossed they love the place so much that they can't tear themselves away and decide to take up residence.

Now Rufus I am counting on you and your fellow Aussies to make them feel especially at home ! Ply them with Shiraz, let them cuddle a koala or two, cook them a BBQ on Bondi Beach..... whatever it takes to keep them there...... Pleeeeeeease. grin

Jane10 Thu 13-Sept-18 12:00:39

Och no. I love Australia. The ozzies deserve better than that second rate pair of 'slebs'.

Anniebach Thu 13-Sept-18 12:09:26

Surely some country wants this couple, America ?

MiniMoon Thu 13-Sept-18 12:59:45

Oh no! Don't send them to Australia on a permanent basis. I'd miss their antics. I'm not exactly a Royalist, but they keep me amused and I'd miss them.
When my Dad was away working in Turkey, he really missed knowing what the Royal Family were doing.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 13-Sept-18 13:01:23

Prince Harry was instrumental in setting up the Invictus Games, and as one of our AC is a serving member of the armed forces, he and his pals are very proud and fond of him. He does a lot of unseen work with our injured military and those of other nations.

I hope they have a fabulous time in Melbourne and Rufus perhaps you could rustle up a good old Aussie Breakfast on one of the BBQ's along the Yarra?

gillybob Thu 13-Sept-18 17:30:38

Blimey MiniMoon your poor dad must've been very bored in Turkey to care what the rf were doing (or not doing as the case maybe).

They don't amuse me in the slightest they just annoy the hell out of me.

varian Thu 13-Sept-18 18:16:57

Going to OZ? Have they got criminal records?

Rufus2 Fri 14-Sept-18 10:02:05

they just annoy the hell out of me
Blimey, Gillybob; What have they done to upset you?
You don't know how lucky you are! grin They provide stability. You sound like a Republican! sador perhaps you'd prefer the revolving door system as practised by OZ PMs every year.? wink

merlotgran Fri 14-Sept-18 10:07:28

You sound like a Republican!

grin

I won't be the only gran chuckling at your remark, Rufus

As they say in the best circles,

'No s**t, Sherlock!' grin

Anniebach Fri 14-Sept-18 10:10:46

Gillybob sounds like a republican ?,

Jalima1108 Fri 14-Sept-18 11:03:05

Going to OZ? Have they got criminal records?

varian shockgrin
Don't upset Rufus (or me)

Gillybob sounds like a republican
I would never have guessed!

gillybob Fri 14-Sept-18 13:07:00

A republican? Moi?

Whatever gave you that idea? wink

I doubt they would go to live in America incase they bump into a member of her family. Who knows they could be sitting in a diner minding their own beeswax tucking into their Grits and in walks .... Daddy Thomas.... followed by a camera crew. Now that would be awkward.

Rufus2 Fri 14-Sept-18 13:18:20

No s**t, Sherlock!'
Merlotgran; Just consulted my Urban Dictionary q.v. but how was I to know he is actually a Republican? I gather he is not a Royalist; don't tell me the Roundheads have made a resurgence? sad

Diana54 Fri 14-Sept-18 13:27:27

I heard they were making an appearance on a Neighbours episode and will look forward to them in Ramsay Street.

My sister lives in Melbourne so I do watch that particular soap.
