Bought the book on Kindle. Well it was the daily deal. Both DD and I are hopeless at housework... always doing it never tidy.
Well, if you haven’t read it it is about decluttering. Yo7 have to start with your clothes. Hold each item and see if it brings you joy. Then you are allowed to keep it. The rest have to go. My problem. Well, being on the large side and always dissatisfied with how I look, only one dress gives me joy, most I feel are just about okay. I think I shall have to change the criteria to ‘just about okay’.

Every day I promise myself that I will clear the clutter of books, papers, crosswords etc. from our coffee table - and every day it satays the same. There are just so many much more worthwhile things to do!

None of my clothes bring me joy.
I think the last thing was a pair of shoes in around 1985!

Living in my wardrobe are a pair of US Size 4 Gap chinos (UK 6-8) bought on a fabulous West Coast USA holiday over 30 years ago.

I don't have a cat in hell's chance of fitting into them ever again but looking at them brings me joy because of the lovely memories. I know I should part with them but ...

So the chinos bring you joy.
Keep them forever.

I have read some of this book, a newspaper printed a few extracts including diagrams of how you must fold and store clothes in a certain manner. I think she's a bit loopy life is definitely to short

Do what you WANT to do....not what you are TOLD to do..
We could probably all write books/articles on what WE think is the way to go!!! Trusting our own judgement..that's the way!!!wink
