Last week I left a laptop and hard drive in a local repair shop. The hard drive was loaded with the contents of the laptop and was awaiting collection when someone stole it. It's pretty useless to anyone else!
Now it's been confirmed that train tickets we sent to a young asylum seeker have not been received - presumed stolen en-route. The Wonderful Man had put them in a Christmas card and thinks that someone mistakenly thought the card had cash in it - frustratingly the tickets are worthless unless someone wants a trip from London to Devon for Christmas. The tickets were for this young man to come and join us for his first ever Christmas celebration and now we're in a quandary about how to get tickets to him safely; we shall scrape the money together again, but we can't risk another £70+ going missing.
