Hiding chocolate

I've done it again and hidden some chocolates (four left in a small box) so well that I can't find them.

Perhaps I ate them and have forgotten! ?

Or perhaps MrBaggs or Minibaggs have scoffed them! No, it won't have been Minibaggs cos she gave me the chocs that her dad brought back from Dublin; she didn't like them. Yes, she's weird! How can you be sixteen and not like chocolates?

So, gransnetters, where have I put them?

I find that most things end up either behind the fridge or under the sofa.?
Give up and buy some more.

They will turn up as a nice surprise so buy some more in the meantime! Bonus.grin

I have a secret compartment in the fridge or stashed under my meds in the bedside cabinet.

I found some in the bottom of a shopping bag that must've slipped out when I put the opened packet in....couldn't resist a few on the way home.

I've mentioned before a friend who hid some special chocolate biscuits in the tumble dryer and forgot they were there when she wanted to dry some school uniform!

I hid some rather lovely and expensive handmade chocolates that I'd bought last Easter as a gift but didn't trust myself not to eat before the event. I searched everywhere but couldn't find them and had to go out and buy more. angry Weeks and months passed and at the end of August I had to take my car in for a service. The garage asked for the service record book which was conveniently stored in the glove box. And there it was, covered with chocolate that had melted and set many times, until it was, by then, a thick dirty layer of gunge that welded the user manual and service record book together, my leather gloves and an old pair of specs. What a mess! Still haven't got it all out.

Sorry, chewb, but ??????

Tumbledryer, kitty? Now there's a thought, not that the current ones will be in there but for future reference...
Ours is ancient and hardly ever used.

I'm with Minibaggs. The best thing to do with chocolate is ignore it. If I never eat chocolate again I wouldn't miss it.

Bought a large meringue yesterday with chocolate icing. Ate half and couldn't eat anymore. The half that is left is sitting on the side and will probably end up in the bin.

Now that's a potential hiding place, and the best one. They went out with the rubbish.

Hubby doesn't ' hide ' anything but he is the luckiest shopper ever. He swears blind they gave him a free bottle of whisky or gin , just for buying a loaf of bread. Hmm.

I did once to my shame hide 2 Cornettos in a bag of peas so nobody could 'pilfer' them. grin

Haven't you all got your own bedside tables with drawers?
Surely nobidy else would rummage about in there?Or would they????

lemongrove Sat 09-Sept-17 12:59:59

Chewbacca so funny.?

silverlining48 Sat 09-Sept-17 13:37:26

ninathenana Sat 09-Sept-17 14:05:53

I haven't got them, I don't eat chocolate.
Seriously.

I usually hide chocolate important stuff, high up out of my line of sight, at the back of a cupboard.
Just buy a bigger stash next time baggs ??

Baggs Sat 09-Sept-17 14:15:22

Found it! Something prompted me to buy some new washing-up sponges today and when I put them away in the "Useful Cupboard", there were the lost chocs.

Minibaggs loves chocolate, monica, but she also has strong will power so she ate a few and gave the rest to me. I can only eat a few at a time, as with most rich food, so they last a long time. I'll be honest, I was hiding them from MrB.
