We look after a house whilst the owners are away a lot of the time in a well known band. They have a wonderful swimming pool that we have permission to use. We swim there everyday. They are not back until December. Blisss.

Arts and Crafts ??
Would your naked bodies be considered artistic grin mine wouldn't.

I envy you the use of the pool but I'd stick to wearing a cossie.

In our house we call it 'chunky dunking' !

MawBroon Fri 07-Jul-17 20:13:21

Likewise Arts and Crafts?? confused

Some bodies are just not a work of art though

But perhaps yours are Gardenman and OH.

hmm

The saying in our house when a comment does not impress is "woop de doo"

Jane10 Sat 08-Jul-17 10:23:08

Awww. This thread was brilliant for the introduction of 'chunky dunking' into my vocabulary!

Well, I'm quite envious. The idea of a private skinny-dipping pool is delightful (even if its artistic merit is questionable).

I have been seeking a new craft, I will pass on skinny dipping, Welsh rivers are beautiful - to walk or sit by or do a bit of canoeing

Jalima1108 Sat 29-Jul-17 21:17:57

grin a bit chilly for skinny dipping!

FarNorth Sat 29-Jul-17 21:23:27

Maybe the use of the pool was wangled craftily by Gardenman 99?

I and a friend were on holiday in Corfu. One night we decided to take our clothes off and skinny dip in the sea opposite our hotel. It was quite late and no one was around, so we cast off our clothes and ran into the sea; splashing around and giggling , it was heaven. We then heard a man's voice saying whose are these clothes on the beach. Looking over to where the voice came from we saw Willie from Inverness. Still giggling we tried to hide from him, but there wasn't anywhere to hide, so we shouted Willie it's us, over here. I'll gather your clothes up for you and put them down here. It seems we'd been rather reckless and cast them off across the beach. Willie turned his back whilst my friend and I came out of the water; it was then the flashes started going off and we realised that we were being photographed by other guests staying at the hotel who were drinking in the hotel bar...we gave a bow then ran as fast as we could away from our public.....winesmile

What HAS this to do with Arts and Crafts?..

BlueBelle Tue 03-Oct-17 05:17:32

...and why has it been resurrected ???

Baggs Tue 03-Oct-17 05:39:48

Because monsoon had a story to tell. A good story too. You can look back on that and smile, monsoon, or blush. Or both! grin

I don't look at threads' forum titles usually. I assume people have got them right. Occasionally they haven't. Do I care? Nope.

BlueBelle Tue 03-Oct-17 06:11:30

Monsoon could have started a thread in a more suitable forum for her story maybe ?

Baggs Tue 03-Oct-17 06:33:27

Of course she could, but she didn't and it doesn't matter.

Auntieflo Tue 03-Oct-17 08:08:35

Precisely Baggs. That's why I (mostly) love GN. It can be mad as a bucket of frogs, serious and helpful. Compassionate and funny. Carry on grans, and as ANother would say, ''as you were''.
