My first thought was of Bear Grylls.

I believe Bear Grylls is actually Edward (so possibly Teddy Bear?)
Always thought it a weird name though.

What is it with "celebrities" and weird names? I seem to recall David Bowie gave his son the name Zowie (which he has now changed to - I think - Duncan). Kim Kardashian has named her children Saint and North - with the surname West!!!

The name Bear is fine if you're on tv doing outdoorsy things like Bear Grylls, but I bet even HE would have reverted to Edward if he'd gone into a career in insurance!

And to think it took 5 whole weeks for Cheryl and Liam to come up with this name!

Isn't one of Jamie Oliver's children called Bear? Or maybe he's Teddy. I don't really pay that much attention to celebs, though this caught my eye as I have a new grandchild!

There is an obnoxious young man called Bear on reality TV, I think he won Celebrity Big Brother. I sincerely hope Cheryl and Liam's son doesn't ever behave as he does!

Thankfully their surname isn't Butt, although possibly that would precede Payne aply. Sure he's a lovely baby though, Bear's quite sweet on a little one

Even Bear Grylls only has Bear as a nickname. What sort of future do some people imagine for their children? "All stand for Lord Chief Justice Bear Payne" "The Right Honourable Bear Payne will address the House" Or how about Katie Price's daughter - "The Nobel Prize for Physics goes to Professor Princess Andre"? The bar seems to be set low from birth.

Bear is actually a very common name in Northern Europe/Scandinavia -Björn/Bjørn = Bear. There are many sportsmen and entertainers called Björn/Bear such as Björn Borg and Björn from ABBA - It didn't seem to hold them back from becoming multi-millionnaires
