She needed a car in a hurry as her old one was condemned.
She also needed one with more seats as she looks after other children too.
We offered her and her dh a loan so they could buy the car they wanted and also paid £1000 to have some work done to ensure it was up to spec, which was to be our contribution.her husband has given us his share of what's owed but our dd has not given us her share.this has been since April last year.she has a bond which will cover it but won't get on and cash it in.
Im gettingupset about this now.And a bit angry.im thinking she hopes we will say 'Oh it's ok don't worry about it' but I'm retired and her dad hopes to retire next year and we need to be able to plan.
Shall I get forceful or mention it to her husband who I think thinks she's paid us? His parents are loaded but we arnt and a loan is a loan to us.
Good Morning Thursday 6th August 2026

there is always a very good reason. The latest coincidentaly was for a car she bought off my brother. Hers died and she needed a car to get to work. We agreed a monthly amount, I received the first repayment then her firm went into liquidation and now she is not working. So still owes me £1000
