I have felt awful for the last few days and last night thought I was going to pass out so decided I'd better see my GP.
Having had a few sessions of having to send DH out at the crack of dawn to queue for an appointment for me I was preparing to sit by phone for ages before I got through. The phone was answered at the second time of trying and I have got an appointment at 11.00 - no questions asked.
The only downside is that they can't say which of 2 GPs it will be with - I'm not keen on one of them and haven't seen the other, although DH and DS like her.
I was really impressed. Have things improved in your areas?
"Old fashioned" expressions that young people have never heard.
Locked room for breakables when grandkids stay?

. The receptionist asked me if it was urgent and I said, well no, not really, it's for carpel tunnel which has been getting worse to the point where I'm dropping things and my hands are more or less painful all the time. And bless her, she said, but yes, that is rather urgent! And managed to slip me in for Monday 15th, so a wait of only 10 days.
