Is there a hide option?

Just wondered if there was the option of hiding threads you don't want to see or take part in??

I couldn't see anything so just thought I'd ask.

Charleygirl Sat 25-Jun-16 13:21:41

I will join you because I have had enough also.

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 13:25:15

You don't have to read them. There are loads I don't look at. This is just making a statement that you don't like the political threads. Well that's no problem just ignore them you don't have to make a song and dance about it.

NanaandGrampy Sat 25-Jun-16 13:27:39

Actually * Whitewave* it was exactly what I said - I noticed the option is available on Mumsnet and wondered if it was available here.

Nothing more .

Nothing less

So thank you for a) getting it TOTALLY wrong.
b) Jumping all over me for absolutely no reason

and trust me if I wanted to make a song and dance it would be more than asking a simple technical question.

Feel free to apologise any time you like smile

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 13:30:15

Today I am too cross to apologise about anything. I might apologise next week, but I am beyond cheesed off

Synonymous Sat 25-Jun-16 13:32:29

NanaandGrampy grin

NanaandGrampy Sat 25-Jun-16 13:35:52

Well I wasn't cheesed off at all... now I'm more angry than an angry thing on the last train to angryville.

Not everything is about politics.

Maybe next time you need to trample on someone to make yourself feel better( although THAT plainly hasn't worked - you might remember I'm a person , just like you, Get dressed one leg at a time in the morning and have the potential to be upset by false accusations.

and breathe........ now ...does anyone know if we have the technical option to hide threads we are not interested in i.e The Big Brother thread ( no offence Big Brother fans !!)

Synonymous Sat 25-Jun-16 13:36:12

Hope everyone gets better soon! flowers brew cupcake roastchicken sunshine wine smile

NanaandGrampy Sat 25-Jun-16 13:36:32

and now I need a magnum grin

NanaandGrampy Sat 25-Jun-16 13:36:59

lol I love the chicken Syn

Synonymous Sat 25-Jun-16 13:47:03

Quite agree N&G there is so much more to life than politics!
Big (((hugs))) to everyone who craves peace and quiet!

To be honest I reckon we have all had our say when we put our cross in whichever box we picked and now it is time to let the 'people who can' do what is now necessary.
It will be a much better place if we can all be supportive of each other however we voted.
Hopefully the dust will soon settle and we can then all work together to make our country the best it can be given where we are. smile

Love you all whether I agree with you or not! blush

NanaandGrampy Sat 25-Jun-16 13:48:29

very good point !! Of course you and I can simply stay here eat magnums and chicken and drink ourselves silly .... which has a lot going for it quite frankly smile

millymouge Sat 25-Jun-16 13:52:14

Thank you Synonymous think we could do with a big hug and to know that we are loved however we voted smile

granjura Sat 25-Jun-16 13:53:28

Another ooption that culd be discussed is one available in many Forums, 'ignore a poster' - so if someone is really annoying you, getting you down, making personal attacks- you can put them on your ignore list. I am only active on one other Forum, and I have 3 members on my ignore- and can't see their posts. Bliss.

Charleygirl Sat 25-Jun-16 13:54:52

I was not aware that NanaandGrampy was making a song and dance about anything- just asking a simple technical question.
I have not seen one but that does not mean to say that there is not.

Synonymous Sat 25-Jun-16 14:14:56

Trouble is N&G I don't want to put on any more weight! grin

ninathenana Sat 25-Jun-16 14:31:09

I hoped after Thursday that apart from one maybe two new threads we could get away from it all. No such luck sad there's so many new threads sprung up which are basically the same but with different titles. I wish we could hide them. I ignore most but it still makes scanning the active page bloody depressing.

Charleygirl Sat 25-Jun-16 15:53:49

I totally agree nina. It took me 3 days to get in touch with local GNs for our monthly coffee meet up as the post kept being moved off the forums until I bumped it up again.

We will have the discussion of a new Conservative leader and then if and why Jeremy Corbyn should go, it will be never ending.

rosesarered Sat 25-Jun-16 16:20:01

Shoot us now? grin I agree and IS there a hide option?

sunseeker Sat 25-Jun-16 16:27:41

N&G can I join you for the magnums chicken and wine? grin

NanaandGrampy Sat 25-Jun-16 16:29:15

All welcome - no voting necessary ! smile

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 25-Jun-16 16:33:30

No. There isn't.

How can you be so un-interested in what is going on in the country at the moment anyway?

kittylester Sat 25-Jun-16 16:34:51

I vote that we don't have a vote on this.

sunseeker Sat 25-Jun-16 16:35:30

oh jbf this was becoming a light hearted thread - we don't have to be serious ALL the time.

rosesarered Sat 25-Jun-16 16:36:59

We are NOT uninterested, just sick of the endless vitriol and whinging.
