Is there a hide option?

I only really use the I'm on and Last hour buttons. That's a good way to cut down on the number of threads.

Yes, but the threads all end up in the Actives list, no matter which forum they are posted in. That's what is so damn irritating - the sheer number of them just push all the other threads off the bottom of the list.

It would be good if all mention of EU associated stuff could be posted under Politics, then we could choose to ignore it (or not, if that's what floats your boat!).

Part of the problem is they are not all in the News & Politics section.

I'd rather be able to edit posts more than any other option.

There are currently 18 threads in the 'Actives' list that are referendum related. EIGHTEEN

Yes they do its in the top bar where it says active etc .

They don't want us to have a 'like' button, but seriously, if Mumsnet have the 'hide' option, surely there is no reason on earth why we can't have it?

Oh now wouldn't that be bliss, to be able to hide the threads that I don't wish to follow. And no, it's not just the political threads - there are others that drive me to distraction with their ever-presentness (no, I know that's not a real word ).
But recently, admittedly, it has been the referendum threads. I know I don't have to read them, but there has been such a ridiculous number of them, that they have taken over the 'actives' list and pushed other threads that might be of interest off the bottom. And now it's happening again with all the post referendum threads. It's not that I'm not interested, but we already have wall-to-wall news reporting and newspapers with 75% of the content referendum based. It really is just too flippin' much! I would love to have the choice to be able to hide some of them. Notice the word 'some'

I've posted on political issues today and in the last few days-I've also posted on Big Brother and Gnomes. Does one thing preclude the other.

I didn't realise there was a moratorium on anything not related to the political threads.
