GandTea, please don't leave. GNHQ, please apologise. I am all for political correctness when being the opposite causes offence, but the slug thread was funny, and if GandTea was Paul Merton saying this on Have I Got News For You, everyone would be laughing.

You must NOT leave. GN would be the poorer if you went.

So agree with you kitty I am incensed by this action as I have said on 2 other threads. What are people coming to when they can't take a humorous remark for what it is.

Don't go Pompa-we need someone like you who's prepared to be 'edgy' and prick some people's pomposity. I for one will miss your slightly irreverent posts. Please stay ?

I have always enjoyed your posts Pompa/GandTea. Please don't let the bar stewards win. I haven't been a member of GN for very long and have enjoyed and benefitted from the postings, help and tips. Why do the selfish few want to spoil the enjoyment of the many?
Think again, I'm sure that you have the support of the many, many, 'normal' GN's . Could you not change your mind and stay with us, please?

Same here. But as an earlier poster said "please apologise" I don't think you have anything to apologise for. You gave no offence. People sometimes decide to take it. Or, as is likely, "people" in the singular. am I right? You are feeling bruised, hopefully you'll feel differently tomorrow. Thanks for always having a sense of humour. Please don't come back with another name: Pompa, Bogoff, GandT. Too confusing. Just keep the last one and if I had some in the house id raise a glass to you and exhort you to stay. I had the experience of some lovely member writing an anonymous letter to my boss, I can only think that for some reason (which is beyond me) they were hoping I'd be sacked.

I was very tempted to leave GN, but decided that I would stay for 2 reasons, one because I didn't want to let that person "win" and secondly because the nice people on here far outnumber the other type.

I've noticed quite a few posters who prefer to keep things light-hearted (myself included) are not seen around as much these days. Hardly surprising is it?
