I now have eleven nieces and nephews plus their partners, ten g nieces and nephews plus several partners, and one g g nephew , the birthday card list is rather long now and it's great . Elis will be introduced to his g aunt Annie today - FaceTime, I am so thrilled , I wish him a happy life bless him

Congratulations Ab what happy news. Enjoy your 'visit' on facetime. smile
Such a big family and obviously a very busy auntie, I think I would need to have reminders in the diary!

Willow500 Mon 21-Mar-16 13:15:05

That's lovely - congratulations!!

Thingmajig Mon 21-Mar-16 13:29:55

Lovely, many congratulations! flowers

Anniebach Mon 21-Mar-16 14:10:47

How kind, thank you, a new life is so joyous

Synonymous ,i confess , I have an appalling memory , I recall on my 50th birthday I was with my parents and writing a cheque, yes I asked what the date was blush , my younger daughter reminds me of all birthdays, she took over after my Mum died

I have had a chat with Elis , he didn't seem to understand Welsh grin

Synonymous Mon 21-Mar-16 18:20:58

Ab I expect he was taking it all in and keeping his counsel. It won't be long before he is racing around and talking 19 to the dozen. They don't stay small for long but there is nothing quite like a new little person to make you all gooey inside. smile

I don't remember where I left my memory, if I don't write things down I have had it! confused

Kittye Mon 21-Mar-16 18:35:31

Oh they do make one all gooey inside ,

Congratulations anniebach, it's always so exciting to have a new little one in the family. And what a huge family you have! I hope you'll get to see little Elis for real before too long. A toast wine

Welcome to the world, Elis!

nightowl Mon 21-Mar-16 20:40:12

Congratulations Anniebach, and I love his name. I'm sure he loved the sound of you speaking Welsh to him; I know I used to love listening to my MIL speaking and singing to my DC in Welsh. Happy, happy times ahead flowers

glassortwo Mon 21-Mar-16 20:41:56

Congratulations Annie flowers wine

Anniebach Mon 21-Mar-16 20:49:26

Again thank you all, I think you will like this, his big sister age 2 has decided she doesn't want her brother called Elis she wants Florence and so has spent the day referring to her new brother Florence which rather surprised the newsagent when she asked what was the name of the baby grin

Jalima Mon 21-Mar-16 20:52:48

Welcome to the world Elis!
and one g g nephew - yes, I have two gg nephews and one gg niece shock how did that happen?
My older DC are 'Devonshire Dumplings' too (well, tall and skinny now). Hope he thrives by the sea, how I miss it

Lona Mon 21-Mar-16 21:07:43

Many congratulations Anniebach sunshine flowers

Andyf Mon 21-Mar-16 21:58:33

Anniebach, congratulations on the birth of Ellis, you sound thrilled.
It's wonderful that we now have FaceTime. If only it had been around when I was a child and my every wish was for a crystal ball so that I could see my family in the USA, FaceTime is as close as I'm going to get to my crystal ball ?. Enjoy the moment.

Anniebach Mon 21-Mar-16 22:26:07

I would love to live by the sea Jamila, my husband and we're going to retire to the coat - Welsh coast needless to say . 4 g.g's wow, I think within the year I may have a third on the way, a nephew and his partner - he is the uncle of Ellis and Arabella- are broody.

Love the sun Lona

Andy, I cannot imagine how hard it must be to have family in another country - I do have a daughter in England, does that count? grin

How kind you all are sending such lovely thoughts and wishes X
