Who still wants an Easter Egg?

My DD always buys me an Easter egg, lovely girl that she is, I leave it in the fridge until really cold, then shamefully scoff the lot in one sitting (it's only a smallish one) as I like the shell crunchy, yum!

I still want one of those Thornton ones that were covered in iced flowers and really over the top.

DH will buy me something nice. I love easter egg chocolate as it's so crisp especially from the fridge as NLS says!

We have the family over for a gathering and an Easter egg hunt in the garden for the children and I buy fancy chocs for the grown ups. But somehow, I only realised last year, I don't seem to get anything! I hadn't noticed before so I can't miss it much!

I decided long ago that Easter eggs and Mother's Day flowers are a rip off so my treat is having all the family together at one go. It's easier to arrange for Easter than at Christmas and saves all the angst of whose turn is it to go where.

Oh yes. DH always buys me a special one usually Lindt or Hotel Chocolate. I have bought him a smallish one from Hotel Chocolate called Scrambled Eggs in dark chocolate. The family are coming to stay at Easter and I have ought them all one - just the standard Buttons or Smarties etc.

and I'd have more than one if anyone wanted to buy me one.

I love Easter Egg chocolate . I know it's probably the same chocolate as you would get in a bar but it's in an EGG !! What's not to like???

and for those of you , who like me , love and egg ....did you know......

if you store your egg on a high shelf there are no calories in it because calories are afraid of heights and they jump off

I buy DH one every year as he loves them, but I have never liked Easter egg chocolate - it always tastes stale to me.

We have bought them for the DGC up until this year but by request, they are all having a card with some cash inside instead. They just aren't that keen on chocolate after the rationing of sweets throughout their childhood by their Mums.

I prefer flowers.

2 years ago DH bought me a monstrosity of an egg ... it was huge and wrapped in cellophane as no box was big enough. I have a photo of it alongside our micro (at the time) granddaughter at 4 months old and it was bigger!!!
The chocolate wasn't even that nice.

Anyway we were in Asda a couple of days ago and I told him we would buy each other a £1 egg and that would be it!
Flowers would also be very nice.

Hot cross buns, yum, gin, yum, but not together! I like the bunny and carrots though.
The large choc bunny that Sainsbury sell for about £5 is really nice chocolate, I buy them for the DGC , wrapped in cellophane so you can tie a big bow around them.

I prefer peanut M&Ms....I keep them in my mouth until the coating melts...then chew the nuts!....cheaper than Easter eggs and available all year round?

Whilst shopping today I stopped at the Easter Egg section and pointed to the one I would just love.. A Baileys Easter Egg..

I am just working my way through large chocolate buttons ..in a large bag,they are lovely straight from freezer ,love a cadbury egg straight from freezer with chocolate buttons..just a small one .

We all buy Easter chocolates for each other, not necessarily eggs and nothing excessive. I am going today to buy them for everybody. We are spending Easter morning with DD and will exchange chocolate with her. Later on in the day we will do the same with DH and family and it will include chocs fro all the adults in the family.

H and I have always exchanged eggs, nothing fancy though. He's a chocaholic but Easter is one of the rare occasions I eat chocolate.

I've bought a chocolate dinosaur for our 2 year old grandson as he's really into them at the momemt. As for us, husband is treating me to an Easter break at one of our favourite hotels, chosen by him, I suspect, as they have an endless supply of chocolate eggs on Easter Sunday, which suits him fine as he's something of a chocaholic!

Cadburys creme eggs for me! Start buying the odd one when they appear in the shops and then 5 in a box ( which used to be 6). Price goes up the nearer it gets to Easter.

Now you come to mention it I can't remember when I last had one ?
Maybe I need a trip to Hotel Chocolat ?.......soon!

Nope. Not had one for years.

get one every year from my granddaughters - used to get one from my now ex-husband when we were together.

however, before granddaughters came along and after I left my ex I bought one for myself ............... love easter eggs.

Maybe a Cadbury cream egg but nothing bigger although I love chocolate and could eat one of those giant size bars if I let myself .
