It was bright and sunny, now decidedly murky but the sun's doing its best to break through the gloom. Ice on car windscreens and definitely chilly when I took friend's dog out earlier.

It's overcast this morning, but the clouds are beginning to break in the East and there was a lovely rosy sunrise. It isn't very warm though, the car said 3°c. DS coming for lunch, I'm making roast beef with all the usual accompaniments..

Good morning from the south coast where the sun is doing it's bet to break through the mist,so hopefully another fine day, and I really must get out in the garden to do a bit of tidying up. I seem to have become very good at just walking round and "thinking" about it. Enjoy your days.

It's a beautiful morning in Norfolk. The sun is shining with quite a bit of warm to thaw the frost left on the grass and there's hardly any air movement so it really feels quite warm and the birdies are singing their little hearts out.

Good morning from Colchester. The frost is melting in the bright sunshine.
DH is emptying the car of one lot of stuff, leaving me laundry, washing up and rubbish to deal with. He is off to a fishing show today so will doubtless be back with more stuff!

Another sunny start to the day in Devon. We had our DS's dog all afternoon yesterday and overnight as DS was out all day and expecting to be home very late. Dog is currently lying by the living room door waiting for DH to come downstairs (he can hear him moving about up there). DH is the dog walker, and therefore his friend

It is misty in North Leicestershire but the sun is definitely lurking in the wings. More gardening for me - the pesky wild garlic is making a bid for world domination again. And there is a bit of shaping to do! The best bit of gardening is thinking about it isn't it PRINTMISS?

DD3 and family are coming for the afternoon which is a good excuse for fish and chips when they have gone!

Not far from St Andrews, Dundee is beautifully sunny and the R Tay is indeed silvery!
Happy birthday alea. I feel 'over-birthdayed' now as mine was a couple of days ago, but DGS had his yesterday. Because mummy is in hospital most of the organising fell to me. We plan a proper party when mum's home. Was exhausted by the time his father collected them to start phase 2 with other GPs.
