I was one of the lucky winners to go and see Terry Wogan at St. James theatre on the 8th October 2015. Thanks to Gransnet.

Terry saw me through many many dark days, I will always be grateful to him

I loved his sense of humour, it tickled mine no end! Today is a sad day for us and of course a sadder day for his family and friends.

His lovely gentle radio ramblings were the sound track of my earlier years....a warm voice in some very dreary times. RIP and God bless.

Same here blonde hedgehog and I don't suppose he ever fully realised how many people he "helped".

Used to listen to him on the way to work and he kept me amused in the traffic. It does seem odd when people who are so familiar die . Felt as surprised over Cilla Black.

Yes, I've noticed that. When people seem to have always been around I tend to forget they won't always be, until they go. It's that time of life when all the familiar faces start to reach the dropping zone. TW was one of my favourite DJs, someone once described him as the king of whimsy, which was apt.

Yes blondehedgehog and tigger, when my life was at it's lowest point, marriage breakup etc, Terry was the one thing that got me out of bed in the mornings. I'm surprised at just how upset I am hearing the news today. Thanks Terry for everything.
