My DH is one of these. Every time he enters a raffle, or plays the lottery he wins. Nothing major but always a little something to keep him smiling. He won £25 on the weekend (he's not a big lottery player but had some lines in for the big rollover). He was given a free coffee the other day at our local coffee shop and somehow smiled his way to a discount when buying himself some shoes last week. He always get waved through when a queue is about to close or manages to get the very last salmon before the restaurant runs out. My sister is like this too - she's plays the lottery once a week but wins at least once a month. How does this happen?!

Because there are lots of people like me who couldn't win a raffle or lottery even if I was the only one buying the tickets.

Ditto what Tiggy said grin

Actually, I did get lucky with the Gransnet competition just before Christmas to win a yule log and a children's book, so I shouldn't really complain. However, I also discovered two days ago that I was picked as a winner on here for another competition last June, but never knew anything about it. No email, no message on the "have you won anything" thread. It wasn't a big prize, but it would have been nice to have known about it in time to claim it sad

people always fight to sit next to me when there's a raffle ..I ALWAYS sit next to the winner grin Could fall in a barrel load of jelly babies, and come out sucking my thumb.

I had a spate of raffle wins - chocolates, posh body lotion etc - a couple of years ago but the luck seems to have deserted me recently. However, I was the winner of a Warners weekend in the early days of Gransnet, so no complaints there.
