A big G & T and a daydream about what might have been.

I seem to have eaten all of mine. Except some cold Xmas pudding.

Must admit though, my healthy lunch of low fat Philadelphia and tomato sandwich, did make a refreshing change.

Cheddar cheese and cream cheese kiernan?!

The abba cd is a nice idea though. Would be good accompaniment to taking decs down. When I eventually start doing it.

oh i know jinglbellsfrocks - that's my job for today...when i can hoist myself up and get started. try the cream cheese with cheddar, promise you'll never look back. it puts the guilty in the pleasure

teetime a big g&t might have to follow tonight depending on how i get on with extricating the lights from the christmas tree!

Today? A mature cheddar and spring onion baguette (freshly baked), tonight sloe gin and ice (because I deserve it after visiting two of the grottiest houses to date ?......--didn't dare sit down sort of grotty-- Not sure if shoes will recover!

I used up the last of the Brie in a sandwich - lush . Followed by 4 or 5 a couple of all butter Scottish shortbreads

A slice of Christmas cake, a cup of tea, a roaring fire and a new magazine... and that was this afternoon.

Digestive biscuit spread with peanut butter and banana sliced on top - sounds disgusting, tastes heavenly

A really good jam doughnut.....yum haven't had one for ages, with a really hot mug of good coffee.

A cup of tea with a large Belgian bun. Enjoyed without feeling a bit guilty

A pack of Mr Kipling fondant fancies and no-one else around that likes them except me! I can't leave them alone!

Watching one episode after another of a series I like. Do you remember the days when you had to wait a whole week for the next episode?

I can concur with all of those. Why is it that women, when left alone in the house, do things that men just don't "get"? (Sit in the bath for ages, watch "Love Actually", read Mills and Boon and eat peanut butter out of the jar - and those are not clichés!)

My husband, if left alone, which is often, as I am still at work and he is retired, slogs away in the garden (doing Lord knows what), never takes a tea break, struggles to find himself a piece of bread and cheese for lunch, and doesn't even have a shower to sooth his aching back, or a glass of wine to reward himself.

Are all men like that?

Ah, Bellanonna you have my tastes exactly, with a cup of Earl Grey. We usually buy a couple of Belgian buns on Saturday and have them at lunch time. They have to be Tesco ones for preference. Yummy

A walnut whip occasionally, how I wish they still made the coffee flavoured ones.

Marmite crisps with Stilton cheese in a crusty baguette eaten whilst watching Gone with the wind.

JackyB nope, all men are not like that, as Mr Roses treats himself to all sorts of goodies when I am out ( thinks, I'm sure we had a large pork pie in the fridge, where is it?)Oh yes he says, I had a little snack.

if i'm being honest, i have another foodie guilty pleasure... i love eating the garlic puree you get that comes in a squeezy aluminium tube...straight out of the tube... i only do it when no one's around though!!

Actually I've never read any Mills and Boon, but the rest of that list were me. Especially the weepy films with loads of Kleenex.

Toasted crumpet oozing butter and boat-sized cup of coffee made in a press using Sainsbury Italian blend ground coffee. I won't willingly go past 10.30am without this. My dog has two tiny bits of the crumpet and tries to stare me out for a bit more without success. I stand firm on this. It's for his own good...

Ha! I beat the auto correct this time! It wanted me to eat toasted trumpet!
