Got a bee in my nonnet the other day about where in the world/house, was my miniature sewing machine. My parents bought it for me when I was about 9/10, and I loved it, but where had I put it? Searched all the usual places that I could think of, then ventured up into the loft, and there she was
I have sewn many a garment on her, and she had been relegated to the dust and cobwebs. Down she came, and I have given her an oiling and polished her table. She now looks very smart, and I will now keep her in my " sewing room". ( The box room.). When Mum gave her to me , she also used her a lot, and had been known to make curtains, even though the stitches are chain stitch. I am so happy that she was not lost, and she still looks good for her age. I must have had her 60 years or so. She runs sweet as a nut, perhaps I should try WD40 on my joints!??
But I don't know why she is upside down.
