It appears that the next set of excavations may well be in Reading. It is believed that Henry 1 (known as Beauclerc because he could read and write and studied Latin and the liberal arts ) is buried under what is the now disused Reading Gaol (of Oscar Wilde fame ) He was almost certainly buried in Reading Abbey and the prison area was part of the Abbey Quarter in his time.

Stephen died of natural causes and was buried in the grounds of a monastery in Faversham, Kent where he lay until the Dissolution of the Monasteries in Henry VIII's reign. So archaeologists believe his bones could also be excavated, although I imagine finding descendants with matching DNA may be quite a task, also Richard III had the defining feature of the curved spine.
