A friend from UK is visiting and she recommended that I subscribe to Readily on my tablet. You pay about £10 a month, and can access all uk magazines on line- from The Lady, to Gardeners' World, Woman and Home, Geographic, Horses World, Photography, etc, etc, etc.

Now trying to sign up for it, but it's picking up I am in Switzerland and being awkward about it. But living abroad it would be a real boon for us. Do any of you subscribe to this?

This sounds excellent granjura - I have googled it and can only find articles saying it is about to be launched, but not any way to find out anything about it or which mags are included. Do you have a link?

Just found it thanks - it is Readly.

Ooops sorry- DH has been trying again to sign up- but even with a proxy server, it is not allowing us to do so. And yet it is even more useful for us, because we live abroad- doh.

No idea how to edit the title- maybe some kind Moderator could do this, thanks?

I have it - on DD's account, and absolutely love it. When you think of the price of magazines, it is well worth it, and so nice to browse, even through the ones you wouldn't be seen dead reading! There is an enormous variety too- all the leading sports magazines are there, and ones on crafting, cookery, and so on.

When you've got it - I found you have to squeeze the page back to normal size to turn over a page. Only (very minor) nuisance.

I can download quite a lot of magazines free via Zinio, provided by our library services in Cornwall. I don't know if other counties offer this.

How does that work Ruby? - I have looked on the website and it looks as if you can only buy individual magazines.

It might be something to do with publishing rights. I can't buy books on amazon to put on my kindle if I use our Italian address even though I still have a British bank account. I have to use stepDD address (it's our old one)!!

I had to register via my Cornwall library number and set it up which was a bit of a challenge. Now I go in to a website set up by the library, choose magazines then go to zinio to read them.
