Too dark outside to know what today will be like but it's not raining at least.

DGsx2 stayed last night and I am having a quiet coffee before I waken them. Big day for GD2 (5) who is Mary in this years school nativity. She tells me the teacher has requested they all have smooth hair.

Mum's nursing home is having it's Christmas Party this afternoon so there is a three line whip for both brothers to turn up. Before that I'm meeting my younger brother for lunch to try to cheer him up after his wife announced the end of their marriage! I hope he doesn't cry

Last time I went to see Mum she told me that the war was going well and asked how my parents were. When I told her that my father was dead she said that no one had told her!!

Managed to put the tree down from the loft and together yesterday - and the lights work - before going to see DGD2's nativity. (Teary grans out in force!). Leisurely day today finishing the decs before seeing a friend for coffee. Isn't retirement wonderful?!

Good morning all - agree about the retirement*Nfk*, but the time still flies by! Dark here, but a fine day promised so the washing done and we are off to help with a 'Postcards from the Edges' exhibition organised by United Response. This is an exhibition (locally) of postcards drawn, painted - or produced in any way - by people with all disabilities. Hope it goes well, it was my idea to put it on - I sometimes wish I could think before I speak! Ah! Well. Enjoy your days.

Morning all. Dry and calm in this bit of East Sussex.
Although we do not go on holiday until February some of our luggage is going on the cruise ship early in the new year and the baggage handling company are picking up the bags tomorrow so I need to get them packed and hope the clothes fit when I unpack them.
A week today I have a dental operation and hopefully that will be the end of the abscesses. I have a huge one at the moment.

Good Morning. Dull and dark here in Stockport. Emergency appointment at the Dentist this morning, a tooth split in two over the weekend. So liitle "still standing" I think the remains will have to come out. Not a happy bunny.

Same time posting Brenda. My DD has had a lot of probs with abscesses in the gum over the top front teeth. They caused so much bone damage that one had to be removed and she is waiting to see if she can have an implant. Good luck with yours.

Cold, frosty but the sun is peeping through in NW London. I am going to look at newish second hand cars today. I need it like a hole in the head.

Good morning from Cheshire. Grey and, so far, dry. U3A Christmas 'do' this afternoon, then doctor for report on latest bloods. Sympathies to Brenda and Ann for the dental crises. I have had plenty of those. Off for regular appointment tomorrow and know I need a crumbling tooth filling but apart from that... fingers crossed!

Bit grey here in Bideford, but NOT raining. Off to the hairdresser later, and maybe a bit of a potter round town. Well, more like a hobble....

Quite bright here in mid Essex. I haven't been outside yet to test the temperature but there is no frost. I overslept which I hate doing. It seems to set me back and I can't get going. Still at least I am not due at the dentist for a while. My 2 daughters, aged 54 and 45, have never had a filling or extraction and 52 hear old son only one fillling.

I was expecting another day of looking after dgd as my dil is not well. However, they are both in bed, dgd watching tv, and dil dozing.
I shall be going there shortly to check on them. I need to get a car seat!

Dental issues here too, £219, in advance for a crown to be fitted on Friday. Dentist said, 'You want this sorted before Christmas'. Thankful for that anyway and it will have 'saved' the tooth, hopefully.

Morning all. Overcast but calm in E Cornwall. I might start a bit of Christmas decorating but what's putting me off is that I really have to do some cleaning first. DH and a friend are up in the office composing songs for the village panto.

Just back from the dentist with all the prep done and a temporary crown fitted. My dentist won't give up without a fight. The nurse rang the dental lab whilst I was still in the chair to send a courier to pick the moulds up and I will have the permanent crown fitted next Tuesday. All this on the NHS though costing me £220. Just hope I will be able to eat my Christmas lunch.
