Good morning, Mick and everyone!

We are in Hampshire with our two youngest DGC - little boys of 4 (nearly 5!) and 6, helping out with a childcare hitch. So am sitting here with CBeebies and boys. Heading back to Devon this morning, then it's a week to my hip operation. Yay! (To quote 18 year old DGD1)

A long part of the A303 was shut on the way here on Sunday, so it was a long, diverted journey. Let hope it will be OK this morning.

Morning Mick and everyone. There's a gale blowing here, it has been a wild night.

I've and appointment at the fracture clinic today, I'm hoping the cast will be removed.

Luckily we didn't have the gales in this area last night. Pavements are damp, we are forecast sun all day, it's a little early to tell yet.

Ariadne aahh the dreaded A303. Hope your return journey is better.

I was awoken at 5.30 by an enormous clap of thunder - thought the roof was about to fall in. Bit of a hooley here since yesterday, snow on the hills and worse to come although worse on the N and W coasts. Think I will batten down the hatches and get on with indoor stuff today. Miserable and grey in North Leicestershire this morning!

Cold, grey and damp in Northumberland, but not as wild and woolly as I was expecting. Not yet anyway. Meeting up with a friend for lunch today, hope the weather improves a little.

Good morning, clearing skies here. Off to the annual W.I. Carol Concert at Wells Cathedral.... hoping it inspires me to get on with Christmas!

Bright and breezy here this morning after a windy night - but not as windy as some by the sound of it. We seem to be getting off lightly.

Off down to Horsey (by the sea) to see the seal pups this morning and then call in to check the cover is secure on our little boat.
