Just over a week ago a neighbour noticed a smell of gas in her garden and we got a very late night visit from the gasman. Since then they have been back 3 times to check we are not leaking indoors. They have dug up the road outside our house and put up traffic lights which we cannot see so take our lives in our hands every time we drive out. Yes, that all sounds fine but why do they come back for about an hour a day and do almost nothing. Was a bit longer on Saturday and twice as long on Sunday. It reminds me of every time we pass roadworks and see a lot more people standing around in their yellow jackets than we can see doing something.
Now I am not saying they are not working hard the entire time but can someone please tell me what it is they are actually doing?
