the dishwasher has been leaving that sort of dried on weetabix looking stuff in the mugs (except this is redconfused) so I thought I'd better clean the filters.

I opened up the dishwasher and discovered that I didn't know how to clean the filters. blush Well, we have only had it since December last year! grin

So it is dried Christmas pud and stuffing you are getting, not Weetabix at all?

Do dishwashers have filters confused. That might explain why mine doesn't seem to clean very well grin

No wonder its a mess Kitty grin in most dishwashers the filters are in the floor of the machine. They are usually under the colander style flat plate. Take the bottom rack out completely and have a look.
