Good Morning Thursday

Dull grey start here in north essex.Very windy,and this morning I got up to find the wind in the night had blown my 10ft climbing fuchsia flat to the ground.I am heart broken

Oh nannot how depressing. Is it broken right off? If it's just bent you may be able to tie it up again, I have had quite badly damaged plants recover when I've strapped them up. Although I haven't tried a fuchsia.

It's horrible here again today. Mizzley rain and still very windy. We're off to sunny (hopefully) Shropshire early tomorrow for a week in our caravan. Much Wenlock. I'm really looking forward to it as I've not been to that part England before. There seems to be a lot to see and I think we should have planned for longer.

Lovely blue sky here in Manchester - not often I can say that! Fingers crossed for your fuchsia, Nan. If your grandson Printmiss is job hunting or soon starting work, how about if not exactly a briefcase, then an upmarket messenger bag or similar? Students often use decrepit backpacks to tote their stuff around, which may not create the right impression in the workplace.

Yes an expensive backpack sounds good for a graduate. My mother bought one for my nephew and he uses it a tremendous amount. Mind you he is still a student as just finishing his MA and will aLmost certainly be applying for a research grant and PHD

Lovely and sunny here, it was rather muggy yesterday but I'm not complaining!
A friend has just phoned and we're meeting for coffee at eleven, so I'd better get a wriggle on!
