I've just seen on the internet that this programme is considered to be 'failing'.

Do you watch it? Do you enjoy it?

Watched it for a couple of days, then went back to BBC Breakfast. Too many presenters on Good Morning Britain, I felt confused! BBC Breakfast fits me like an old comfortable shoe.

I have got an actual aversion to morning tv. Just seems so wrong. So, no.

ninathenana Mon 02-Jun-14 11:10:37

You mean there's something other than BBC breakfast confused

harrigran Mon 02-Jun-14 11:16:18

No, never put TV on unless I want to watch a recording.

Marmight Mon 02-Jun-14 11:47:45

Never seen it. Occasionally watch Breakfast for the news but get fed up with it after about 10 minutes. TV in the morning makes me dopey (more dopey than normal)

durhamjen Mon 02-Jun-14 11:58:18

If I put TV on in the morning it's usually because of some important news I've heard on the radio, and I watch channel 80, BBC news. Can't do with chat in the morning.

Ana Mon 02-Jun-14 11:58:41

Never watch daytime tv, never mind morning!

Charleygirl Mon 02-Jun-14 12:11:28

There are too many presenters, too many adverts and when I first watched it I thought that the four presenters looked as though they were about to start a formal job interview with somebody, all four sitting behind a desk.

I want good quality news in the morning, not inane chat with pop stars, fashion advice or simpering, sycophantic presenters. That's why I don't watch Good Morning Britain. If I see Louise Minchin giggling on the sofa, I switch off BBC Breakfast. I could watch Steph McGovern all the time - she pitches it just right with news and intelligent discussions.

Lona Mon 02-Jun-14 13:13:27

I've only seen a couple of minutes of it, as I'm scared that Lorraine will suddenly appear with her stupid simpering giggle.
I watch Sky news, but just lately that's been getting a bit juvenile!

We have a quick look at the BBC News channel and that's it. The telly doesn't go on again until the 6pm News unless it's pouring with rain and then I have a cuppa watching Escape To The Country.

GrandmaSandra Mon 02-Jun-14 15:00:09

We have it on occasionally. I don't like it at all, actually, but DH puts it on. If I have to watch anything in the morning it would be BBC Breakfast; however, given the choice I wouldn't put the TV on at all until the evening. Before DH retired last November I never had the TV on during the day, apart, maybe, from Wimbledon fortnight.

Grannyknot Mon 02-Jun-14 15:12:18

merlot can I come and live in your house, please?

My husband is sports mad and I call the TV in the livingroom "the Sports Channel" TV. He knows when I settle down with a cuppa to find something I we both like, though! I seem to remember there was a time when sports only happened on weekends, now the sports channel is a fulltime occupation.

Grannyknot Mon 02-Jun-14 15:13:26

Oh and sorry re OP no we don't watch it too many ads and repeated on a 15 minute loop, but then that's the same for BBC in the morning.

janeainsworth Mon 02-Jun-14 15:25:46

Never watch TV in the morning. It's the Today programme for us, then it's switched off till You and Yours.
Unless John Humphries is on, in which case MrA leaps up and switches him off when he can't stand him any longer.

ginny Mon 02-Jun-14 20:23:54

No, I'm another who never watches day time TV.

I think there may come a time in my life when all I can do is sit in my chair all day dozing in front of the TV,until that day arrives I have a life to lead. Mornings would be wasted watching TV. I get up have breakfast, have a quick browse on here to see what is going on wink ,get the news on the radio and then get on with my day.

Dragonfly1 Tue 03-Jun-14 07:38:07

I tried it and quickly went back to BBC Breakfast. I do like Bill Turnbull...

Anne58 Tue 03-Jun-14 08:05:00

Another who is daytime TV averse here! If I didn't have to go to work, I'm quite happy with Radio 4 all day, the TV doesn't get switched on until at least 7.30pm

J52 Tue 03-Jun-14 08:40:03

I agree Phoenix, radio 4 for me. I often hear interesting things on topics that I would never have investigated. Also, the books that are serialised are often ones that I would not have read, but have found entertaining. X

GillT57 Tue 03-Jun-14 13:59:46

Working on my own most of the day, apart from the occasional visitor, I have Radio 4 on all the time, very informative, often funny. BBC Breakfast on Tv before I leave the house, never ITV irrespective of the presenter as I think it is a bit tabloid ish, all celebrities and such other nonsense. If my phone rings when there is something interesting on Radio 4, or an important part of The Archers, I can get quite cross angry

sunseeker Tue 03-Jun-14 15:11:28

I'm another who doesn't watch daytime TV, the box only gets switched on at 6.00 pm for news - if I remember!

HildaW Tue 03-Jun-14 17:02:47

ITV breakfast programmes have never worked for me....the adverts are enough to drive me mad - but also ITV is always so much more shallow and celebrity based....though BBC is heading that way.....I had a good rant about how much time they gave to Gwyneth Paltrow's marriage break-up.

I am happy to have the BBC breakfast on in the background whilst I have my coffee as I am hardly functioning on any great intellectual level until I've had it! smile

SloeGinny Wed 04-Jun-14 09:25:51

It's the Radio 4 Today programme for me, never seen Good Morning Britain, or the BBC version and, to be honest, they don't sound tempting! I've never heard of most of the 'slebs' talked about, so don't have any interest.

My darling grandson has introduced me to CBeebies bedtime, a new TV experience for me. I had to work hard to learn all about In The Night Garden, only to find he's moved on to Fireman Sam and Postman Pat. grin
