It will save me money in teacakes and other Minibags goodies.... till she convinces me that going back to bed after getting up to switch off the alarm, which is outside her room, in order to – wait for it! – "test her eyes" to see if she could stay awake (you have to laugh!
) is a good idea... till then, NO CAKE/biscuits/etc.
Alternatively, she can just sort out a good morning routine that doesn't involve me acting as back-up when her "test" fails.
Am I being taken for granted, or is this just what being a grandparent is today?
What medical conditions seem more common now than when you were growing up?

. How could I suggest it?!
