Just watched, as my DGS loves it , and who should pop up but Anne Widdecombe , who seems to be modeling herself on Anne Robinson . I suppose she can"t face being out of public eye , what with come dancing , but give it up girl to my mind anyway you are just a bossy old spinster, with about as much personality as a carrot grin

I don't agree, Nonu. I think she's a very intelligent and feisty woman who was never appreciated enough during her time in government. I like her.

Shirley Williams is the woman I admire, though I admit Barbara Castle had a lot going for her.

I only know AW from her actions as an MP and her TV appearances. I have not been impressed by what know. I feel she is a strident 'know it all' who was not very empathetic to anyone who did not follow 'her rules'. I think Barbara Castle was a better MP and politician.
