Reading today that the Charities commission has rebuked the charity Marie Stopes for a lack of transparency on how the chief executive was able to more than double his pay packet from £170,000 to£217,250 then was awarded a 100 percent bonus bringing his salaary to £434,000. Seems that the Charity Commission can't do anything but publish guidelines, which they charities can then just ignore. This level of pay for a charity boss seems outrageous to me.
