I support my elderly Aunt. She has Alzheimers but still lives at home with carers coming in to help with meals, personal care etc.
She does have some groups she attends in the week and I take her out evey week too, but the rest of the time she is at home alone with nothing to do. I think she gets bored and then starts constantly fiddling with things in the house which causes problems with things being turned off, or getting lost or broken.
I want to keep her occupied, but she can no longer follow TV programmes very well, she can't follow books, can't knit anymore, and can't do puzzle books or jigsaws any more. Trying any of these just makes her frustrated and upset.
Any ideas on what else I could put in place to keep her interested and out of trouble?
How will the VAT cut be funded?
