I don’t really understand this!

Are you sure that the resurfaced road is owned by the same body as the potholed roads? Some roads might be Highways Agency whereas other roads might be County Council or District Council (and a few might be private)

Increasingly worrying is the number of road signs including direction signs that have been knocked down and not replaced, or completely hidden by overgrown hedges etc. some of these are at dangerous junctions and causing motorists to break suddenly or slow down to try and work out where they need to turn.

I don’t understand why a lot of the potholes weren’t repaired during the lockdowns. It would have been the perfect time to fix them because no one was driving anywhere. They’re downright dangerous where we are: in fact we have to avoid some roads completely.

Our car had to be mended after banging over a particularly bad pothole.

We had a road like that nandalot except it didn’t have any potholes. The road is a side road and the main road to it is full of potholes. Yet this side road was taken right back several layers and relaid. I heard people thought maybe someone influential lives there, the houses are eye wateringly expensive, or that it was training practice for the highways department.

Always report a pothole to your local Parish Council, or get a card from them to report it yourself to your Town Council.

If a pothole has been reported to the Council and your car is damaged you can claim for the repairs.
