Reminds me of my MiL. I went to see her one day (a 2hr journey) and she opened the post to find 2 x £100 from Ernie. We went for lunch and she let me pay. I too felt a bit 'short changed'.

I wouldn't expect to be bought drinks but would accept graciously if they were offered.

£200 isn't that much these days.

There were just 4 of us supposed close friends guess we would have bought an extra round. Without thinking about it but some of is are takers some are givers we all different. Thanks for opinions!

I'd be happy form them. I wouldn't expect them to buy drinks all round. £200 would probably go to my DD and her family if I had won.

I went to bingo years ago with a friend (I was forced I hate bingo) and won £400 I gave her half. I think you should make the rules clear before you start. I buy lottery scratch cards for around the Christmas table with the crackers and I state before we do them that anything over a thousand pounds has to be shared with me.
