Ingredients

1 tin peeled plum tomatoes
Tomato puree
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
Dried basil
Dried oregano
Black pepper

Handy Hint

Serve with any pasta. Sprinkle with grated cheese if you like. If you add more tomato puree and reduce the sauce down it makes a good pizza topping.

Method

1. Drain the tomatoes into a microwaveable saucepan and cut up with a knife and fork.
2. Chop the onion and garlic finely and add to tomatoes. Stir in the dried herbs, pepper, and about a third of a tube of tomato puree.
3. Heat in a microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir, then heat for a further 1- 2 minutes.
