Anyone remember Clochemerle?

It came up in a book I amnreading and I plan to watch it on YouTube. I seem to remember we loved it at the time.

I remember reading it under a hairdryer over 50 years ago and laughing so loud people were watching me .
I had to explain what I was reading, thank you for reminding me.

Just watched the first episode again - you can find it on Youtube.
I cannot get rid of the subtitles which are hilariously inaccurate .. urinal is You Rhino!

Peter Ustinov is the narrator. Good to hear his voice again.
