I saw the show when it first came to London many, many moons ago. The set was so drab and dreary as was the production. I did not enjoy it. I saw it again about ten years ago and enjoyed it because there was now colour and some comedy to relieve the misery. Of course I now knew all the songs. Tonight we have sung a compilation of the music at our community choir and it was an exhilarating sing performed with great gusto in four parts by 70 of us.
