Has anyone been to this exhibit? It is on in Victoria, BC. Unfortunately I will miss it, since I will be in town after it finishes, but may suggest it to my DD.

I'm like you Lovetopaint The thing that interests me is the painting itself. I want to see it as the artist left it, see the brush strokes and the texture. I've never managed to see my favourite painting, which is Breughal's Hunters In The Snow, but I have been lucky enough to see my second and third favourites Giorgione's The Tempest and Grunevalde's Crucifixion. I don't think any immersive experience would have given me more insight thanbeing practically within touching distance of the painted surface.

I know this is an old thread, but just to say, this is currently on in Devon if anyone is interested. Then Edinburgh, Nottingham, and I think Newport.
I went today in half term with DGC and it was excellent. Big gasps when Starry Night swirled around us, we've been doing a 1500 piece jigsaw of it for a month now!

Highly recommended.
Don't worry those who say you can't beat seeing the actual brush strokes, I'm off to Amsterdam next month to see the real stuff!
