I'm like you Lovetopaint The thing that interests me is the painting itself. I want to see it as the artist left it, see the brush strokes and the texture. I've never managed to see my favourite painting, which is Breughal's Hunters In The Snow, but I have been lucky enough to see my second and third favourites Giorgione's The Tempest and Grunevalde's Crucifixion. I don't think any immersive experience would have given me more insight thanbeing practically within touching distance of the painted surface.
