Really enjoyed this and I agree it didn’t matter that I knew nothing about chess.

I watched the first episode last night and loved it. Brilliant young actress.

I've just binge watched Season One, thoroughly enjoyed it. I know nothing about chess but the acting was excellent. I loved the attention to detail on sixties' fashion, decor, cars and current affairs, a bit like Madmen.

I wonder if there will be a Season Two?

I'm trying to watch it slowly so it won't be over too soon.

I've watched 2 episodes and I'm loving it so far. I restrict myself to an episode a night, so I can enjoy it for longer! The acting is superb, particularly the young actor playing the lead. I know next to nothing about chess, but that doesn't matter a jot!

I know the Scandinavians had them. I guess Russia had plenty of goose down too.

Even we had eiderdowns: down from eider ducks. Eider ducks live on our loch.

PS Britain is European.

When duvets first became popular in the UK, we called them "continental quilts". I remember getting our first one in about 1973 from Habitat.

I have access to 7 episodes of series 1 on Netflix, but it is saying it's a limited series. So I dont want to get into it if the end is missing or something like that!

I first used a duvet at a friend's parents' house in 1975. They had brought it from Norway where they holidayed quite often.

I think 7 is the end. It felt like more than seven episodes to me because I found it so exciting that I had to keep having breaks! Need to read the book now.

My friend's parents called duvets "downies" and so I also did for many years but duvet seemed to take over.
