Yes me too, but that's not to say I didn't like it, I often fall asleep around 9 pm, particularly when I've had some as I did yesterday. I'll catch up with it later on I Player, before part 3 tonight.

DH is enjoying this. I don't like 'spooky' things so I go to bed and read my book.

No, I stayed awake, unusually, but have little idea of what is going on. I have a copy of the book, therefore I shall re-read it!
It is 'Civilisations' that sends me to sleep, even on the second time of watching.

Gosh Yes! Must not miss it tonight. I wonder if insipid little Lady Glyde is going to use her hate and anger to avenge herself against Glyde. It seems odd to me that they got a famous actor to play the part of the girls' stupid and weak uncle. As usual I am puzzled by flash backs and flash forwards. These are said to improve the story and I cannot see how they do so.

Me too! I recorded the first episode but kept nodding off when watching it. I therefore gave up on it.

Alexa I find the flashbacks confusing I don’t always but this time they are so hidden in the story line that I m not realising till they re almost back to normal

But that apart I m enjoying the story and looking forward to tonight

kitty I didn't think I would like it for that reason but I don't find it at all spooky. I'm enjoying it.
It's not one that I need to record and watch during the day.

kitty....you are thinking of ‘The Woman In Black’ as this Wilkie Collins ( isn’t it?) story ‘ The Woman In White’ is not a spooky one.

What channel is it on please, and when?

I'm not thinking of the Woman in Black lemon, I wouldn't even have to give that any thought. Women dressed in white, acting strange and disappearing all in the first 5 minutes are spooky enough for me!!

And, Charles Dance looking like that is definitely enough to put me off. I remember when he was a dashing young thing - how did he get so much old then me?

Haha kitty The Woman In White’ is a mystery story, but nothing to frighten the horses ( or anyone else.)

I suppose there's nothing frightening about..... no I won't spoil it.

I read it years ago, and found it very slow going, maybe the tv version has spiced it up a bit ( or edited the boring bits)?

Like others I gave it a miss because I thought it might be frightening. I'll only watch spooky things if OH is around. They play on my mind. He wasn't so I turned it off after the title sequence, thinking it wasn't for me.

Thanks for the clarification lemon. The Woman in Black film with Daniel Radcliffe I found very scary. (I believe it had a 12 rating (?) so I imagined I'd cope with it and watched it! )

I thought Harry Potter was hopeless in that film Day6 it wasn’t a patch on the ( I think) BBC version of about 15 years ago, now that was really scary!

I am not watching The Woman in White. We had to read the book in the first year of senior school and that put me off it for ever. (Any of you see the stage play of The Woman in Black? That was wonderful, really scary. The book is by Susan Hill.)

Oh I agree lemon. Daniel Radcliffe IS Harry Potter and I cannot say he's been convincing in anything since the HP films. He is too slightly built and too boyish looking to play heavier parts. He looked more like an office boy than a solicitor with authority. He wasn't impressive but the haunted house in the middle of nowhere and it's inhabitant most definitely put the willies up me!!!

Two of ours did the Woman in Black at school so I have sat through it on stage twice. Terrifying, even knowing what happened!

Episode 3 of 5 tonight.

I watched the first episode, and all the flashbacks put me right off. I read the book years ago and enjoyed it. The TV dramatisation does not do it justice.

I am watching it, but find it all rather wishy washy and un engaging. I keep hoping it will improve.
