Thank you - it’s easy to miss these afternoon offerings which are often much much better than some of the evening rubbish.i generally find the characterisation and scripts much superior. I’m actually enjoying Shakespeare and Hathaway in a lighthearted way - good acting and some funny lines and situations

Thanks so much for that I have just finished watching the whole of series 4 on catch up ml54 you are so right I do tend to miss a lot when home during the day and some of the programmes are so good.

I'm watching TV during the morning because I'm off sick and can't concentrate to read. I'm hoping the afternoon programmes are a lot better than the morning ones!!

Shakespeare & Hathaway finished on Friday. This replaces it.

I must say I was extremely confused! However, I like the style of it. I'll persevere. I always loved the Dr Blake mysteries. The Ozzies do these dramas very well.

Even though I've been retired for years it somehow seems rather decadent to watch day-time television.
So I have missed it!

I generally recorded or watch on playback to solve that problem -

I think I missed series 1, but have watched all the rest. I record them, (as I do most tv) so can watch at my leisure. They did bring everything to such a satisfactory closure at the end of the last series (which finished last week), I was not too sure if this weeks lot was a new one or a repeat, but it is a continuation, four years later.
I do really enjoy looking at the fashions from the 1950's, I used to love those tight waisted, full skirted dresses back then. Now, I really wonder how I wandered around in such high heels all of the time!!
Regina must be the most evil of female soap characters, we get a lot of male ones in UK soaps, but she is up with the worst of those. She has now killed at least twice, and threatened others. Still feel a little sorry that she was not caught out with the murder of that extremely right wing policeman, who she used so much.
I am most impressed at their obvious in depth research into Jewish religion practices. UK soaps, tend to skim research and often get so much wrong.
Good, easy to watch afternoon television - although I usually watch it in the evening when there is nothing else on that I like.

This is a new series - 5 I think.

I've watched series 1 and 2 but missed series 3. Can't find it on catch up. Any ideas if it's on anywhere else such as Netflix or Amazon Prime?

I have set them to record now, have watched the first one and will have to watch the second on catch-up.
However, I'm still a bit confused because I must have missed a series - I first watched it in Australia and thought we would be behind here.

I used to love The Sullivans, another great Aussie period soap which was on at lunch-times about 38 years ago.

I am enjoying this series. The outdoor scenes are fine but I'm finding the indoor ones very dark - to such an extent that I can't see the characters.

I watched series 1-3 then missed 4 so before I started watching 5 I read up the synopses for 1-3 because I knew I would have forgotten important details then watched 4 on catch up and am now (hardly ever) in series 5, with which I am up to date?

I am btw not at all over invested in this soap

I would watch it on catch-up but the flippin' rugby is one.

I suppose I could read the synopses in the meantime, good idea.

It may be a 'period' soap but many of the houses are still the same - not the very large one, I have never seen one like that, the wooden Queenslander type.
